What do you guys eat late night when this happens? Fruits?

I usually have a protein shake with skim milk before bed.
Between dinner and bed isnt really a crazy amount of time for me to get hungry lol..

So I finally got to benching a plate at the gym today:toot:... feels really good and really pumped me up to go even harder now.

(keep in mind when i started on Feb.11th, i could only bench 25lbs and i weighed 156lbs)
(I now weigh 170lbs)

320icar 04-01-2014 10:02 PM

Awesome news man. Being able to add that whole new plate on is huge for the mental game. Now just keep pushing for reps for a while until you can add another 5 to each side.

Note to self:

Started losing sight of my goals, at least I realized it now before it was too late.

My work schedule was really messed up so my eating schedule shifted as well. Back on track starting tomorrow.

Healthier Choices, Healthier Choices.

Broke in the reebok powerlifting shoes tonight. They are pretty sweet for both deadlift and squats. Think I am gonna squat with them instead of oly shoes for the next litte while.

Price seems great. Are they flat soled, or is the heel raised up a bit?

shit beast mode man, 405 coming soon

you do this for a top set or is it one of your working sets?

320icar 04-03-2014 01:03 PM

Do any of you guys suffer from leg cramps during squats? The last few time I've done them I've gotten some pretty bad cramping near the end on my inner rear quads. On purpose I've weighted down and gone for reps (145, 5 sets 10 rep) and it still gets me. I usually do the elliptical beforehand too for a good half hour.

More stretching? More/less warm up? My depth is starting to suffer since mentally I'm worrie about going too deep

it was a load drop set from my top set. i was supposed to do triples that day, but it felt light so i did 5's, and that felt light too so i did 7 lol.

stupid decision, cus now im gonna have to take a few days off pressing for my shoulder to replenish. it is imperative that you stick to the plan u set for yourself or you mess up your strength peaking.

it's one of those rare sessions where you feel like you're 110%

Sid Vicious 04-03-2014 04:46 PM

Gotta press super heavy ohp. My shoulders feel bulletproof haha.

Lettuce compare training cycles interested to see how ur program looks like

instantneedles 04-03-2014 05:07 PM

Yeah i mean i do have some sort of overhead pressing movement once a week (push press or incline press) I dont get sore in the shoulders much unless i go overboard like yesterday haha, but even then its minor

At the end of the day, its bench press im trying to get strong at so the program has a bigger emphasis on it

Hip soreness is a different story though haha

Yeah we should compare programs... Im liking what im doing so far, it allows me to take breaks when i need to so i can play by ear
