I'm doing a modified Push Pull Legs. I keep it simple

I do 1 big leg exercise (front squat or deadlift) and either 1 big pull or 1 big push movement per session. After that, I do whatever lifts I feel like doing to finish the session but its all compound. If I end up looking like a centaur, oh well.

I try to 4 times a week in the winter and fall. Its probably going to be 3 or 2 times a week in the Spring and Summer.

I didn't like the way my gut looked so on Jan 15, I went on a cut. Goal was to lose 8 pounds in 2 months. Doing good but I really felt weak today. Maybe it was because I got the flu last week. I wonder if the flu and being on a cut are related (immunity lowered)?

Here's how I looked before cut:

Here's today:

Does anyone want to share their opinions or experiences with Leangains? I'm thinking about trying it after my cut ends.

keep up the good work man. i would personally recommend a moderate intensity high volume program because you'll expend quite a bit of calories

hit this today after dls, pretty easy. think i can go 405 soon

My wrists are sore after an upper body workout. I guess my wrists are pretty weak? Any suggestions on what I can do to prevent this? Would you recommend I go to the gym even if they're sore? I'm kind of afraid of a wrist injury cause they would push me back a couple weeks :/

If they are sore, it is likely that your grip strength is a weak link

two options:

a)train grip strength (PG or R rated, either way works)
b)lighten up the weight, and increase other parameters instead like reps, sets, duration, etc

i'd probably take a break brah, your wrists hurting is a physiological sign that something is wrong

hope that helps!

Anyone catch the Arnold Classic? The distended guts this year were fucking out of control! Arnold condemned the judging and said fans should speak out against the current trends. I agree fully. Roelly looked absolutely dis-gut-sting.

Berz out.

Nowhere local sells either of those IIRC, spend the extra bucks and get the SBD

Inner Strength Products is I believe the only canadian website that carries SBDs. Should save you from the ridiculous exhange rate to USD

to add 100lbs to your squat --> sbd
to add 50lbs to your squat --> rehband

i have rehbands, and they definitely help alot, but sbds are whole other playing field

Fuahh upper body finally catching up to lower body. Its been almost 4 years since the last time I was able to do pull ups, dips ... Or hell even pushups for a reasonable amount of reps.

Here's to not being a fat fuck

Intended to test my 1RM today, had been a few months since I last tried (315 x 2).

Lately have been just doing pyramid sets from 135 to 275 and back down (to failure each set).

Anyways, crushed my PR(335x4). I regret not throwing on more to truly test my 1rm.
