Any of you use bluetooth headphones at the gym? I'm looking for a set, sick of dealing with cords.

Bought the dre power beats 2 about a month ago. On sale at Best Buy for $189. Very happy for what they are. Typical beats as they are heavy on bass and a bit over priced.
..... But dude...... Bluetooth ear buds have changed my fucking life. They are amazing. I no longer have to worry when weaving in and out of machines at the gym, or pulling them out on tricep pull downs or seated rows

But it became a hassle to manipulate the controls and it looks mickey mouse.
Just rather get the right tool for the job.

I am looking for a medium sized duffle bag that can fit all my gym gear as well as work laptop, etc. that also has backpack shoulder straps.
Anybody have recommendations on brands or particular bags? Looking to get a decent one not a no-name Walmart brand. Under Armour has some that are specifically for this, but is their gear any good quality-wise?
MEC has one but looks a bit small and more of a day-pack. Arcteryx has one but it doesn't have a hard-bottom that gym bags usually do and is more of a backpack with handles.

Good sound quality + bass once you find a good fit. Awesome battery life and connectivity.

Agreed. Been using them non-stop for the last 3 weeks. The mic is shit however, but I don't use it to talk on the phone much.

Another +1 for the mpow bluetooth earbuds. Got them for like $23 a few months back, they are awesome for my skytrain commute as well in addition to the gym.

Good quality IMO but on the pricey side
This is coming from using a cheap everlast bag from walmart that tore after a few weeks

Google North face base camp duffle comes in three different sizes and colours.
I have a small one I use as a carry on for work.

| lifting headache
Anyone ever got headache from lifting?
2 weeks ago when I was doing deadlift, on my last 2 reps, I "felt" something pop on the right side of my head, it is weird but it felt like a blood vessel burst inside my brain.
Got a headache, abit light headed but it only lasted a few minutes...stopped lifting and ran on the treadmill for 15 mins, everything seems okay.
But ever since then, whenever I do heavy deadlift or squat, I get a localized headache where I felt the pop before.
Other exercises seems okay (Bench, pull-up, cardio, etc, tho I get a mild headache too when doing OHP)
I think basically anything that cause blood to rush to my head, I feel the headache...
I took 5 days off last week, and tried again yesterday...the headache is much lighter and less sensitive, but I know it is still there. (I was doing about 90% of the usual weight)
Just wanted to get some advice before I go see a doctor. (No appointment till Friday)

Look up exertion headache/exercise headache. IIRC They occur in ~10% of the population and affect men moreso than women.
I've gotten it before but never felt that 'pop' -- for me, I'm much more likely to get it if I'm on preworkout/caffeine (which makes sense because preworkouts/caffeine = increased heart rate/blood pressure) and it's especially more pronounced on heavy compound movements (i.e. deadlift, squat, etc)

Just wanted to get some advice before I go see a doctor. (No appointment till Friday) | It happened to me years ago. Exact same symptoms. Every time I really exerted myself, dead, squats, leg press (Where I did it if I remember correctly) I would get the pain in the same location I got the "pop." Mine was on the back of my head, just above my neck. Quite painful when it happened. The more time I took off, the less the pain occurred. Eventually I had to take a good amount of time off. It did go away (I forget how long I took off), and now I make sure i'm breathing when exerting force. Yes it goes against heavy lifting techniques. But holding your breath, while exerting massively increases your blood pressure and I personally would rather not my head explode form the inside out, then lift a little more weight.

lifting heavy withour bracing is hella dangerous for your back.
Headaches are much more preferable than herniated discs

Headaches are much more preferable than herniated discs | Maybe when your pushing the kind of weight you guys push. The pain associated with these headaches would result in you not being able to lift said weight. Take your pick. Listen to the Dr, I'm pretty sure I know what he's going to say.
I don't do the same type of lifting anymore either. My breathing style has changed with the style of my lifts. I think you have to adapt with what your body allows. I should also note, on heavier lifts I don't do a continuous normal breathing, it's more of a prolong breathing out, slow and controlled.

Decided it's time to really learn how to dead lift with a double over-hand hook grip. Man it's seriously painful.
