Olive oil has its places, but it's not that good for cooking, especially frying. If you want to replace canola (and you should, especially your mom as it is particularly bad for women over 40), then switch to coconut oil or lard for cooking. Use butter a lot more too.

A cheap alternative is peanut oil, which is good but also very high in omega-6. So while it takes care of a lot of the problems presented by canola, it doesn't solve all of them like the prior suggestions would.

But since so many people are scared of saturated fat, I guarantee you will fail at this, at least until you are living on your own.

I take 2 weeks off every month while i'm at work! It actually isn't so bad. I've surpassed all my "maxs" in the last 6 months, compared to when I was working out practically every day a few years back. Yesterday was actually the first time I used the gym during my work rotation (It's very expensive, so I usually just do some body weight exercises at home in this time), and god damn! My shoulders look like a fucking disaster. Tricep extensions (dumbbell), when loading the weight onto my shoulder to re-grip and then go overhead, the weight blew multiple blood vessels, and it is f^&kin ugly. I also decided to use the calf raise machine (stand up) and that huge marks on my shoulders too. Never seen that before, I guess I should stay away from those exercises, can't be good for you.

I liked this line

"Anytime you plateau in training, it's rarely that the program isn't complex enough. Usually it's because you've strayed from the basics."

<3 my favorite day!
What do you guys do to hit your rear delts? I want to be a bit wider in the rear shoulder/back area

I only know of one exercise that actually targets that specific area :(

im big on lateral raises, reverse pec deck fly is money for back of delts also for your upper traps, reverse flys like sit on a bench and put your face almost in your knee / groin kinda and squeeze at the last part coming up, i do lots of barbell shoulder press more then dunbells, dunbells feel funny when i do then on shoulder press. and these fucked up shrugs i do with a barbell bending over some how i feel it crazy in my rear delts.

So lately i've been getting pains in my upper back after i squat. Could it be my technique and posture? i let the bar sit on my traps and i have a straight back when i'm executing the exercise. i feel the pain underneath the two bones on my upper back (forgot what those are called lol) and it hurts for a good 5-10 seconds before it goes away. i think its the weight that i'm putting on; how the hell do people squat like 6 plates with out feeling that pressure/pain in their upper backs??

i'm a little worried to go even heavier as i improve in strength because my back might be able to take it.

I'm willing to bet the price far outweighs any gains you'll see
I dont see any before and after pics to back up their claims

Just the mention of "everyone noticed he was bigger and leaner"
