ok so im 5'8 weighing in currently at 170ish (give take a couple pounds off) and my goal before new years is to get 200. and if i manage to get 200 i will stop taking gainer and start running all that weight and start my cutting phase by introducing cardio mostly everyday into my workout.
simply, would it make any difference if i were to stop at 180 rather than 200? im not doing any cardio right now since im not comfortable with my size
last year when i was serious i reached 195 and went 2x a day to the gym weekdays.
but i got lazy so im starting it back up, been going once a day (for almost 2 months); weekdays or try to anyways...
people always think they are to big or fat when they bulk so they cut early, and end up looking like shit or like the first time they started training , i think i might be the only only one on this board who has done the 100 pound bulk, yes it is very hard and takes lots of time and dedication, if u r looking for size this is a great way to do it, i would suggest going to 200 or w/e
good day today. db shoulder press, seated cable row, bench press, straight arm out front lat pull downs, deadlift, front and lateral raises. most things compound super sets.
started running outa gas during deadlifts because i hadnt eaten since lunch and it was 8:30.
I think i would be the happiest child if i could rack my weight up even by 10lbs by the end of this year!
speaking of body types, what do you guys classify yourselves as?
Im pretty sure mine's ecto-mesomorph cuz im pretty tall and have very broad shoulders but im thin as fuck... =(
I cant remember all the types. but my body type is the 6' skinny guy who has to bust his fucking ass to keep any mass on. but when im skinny im not ripped skinny im soft.
The high intensity workouts are the shit and are definitely working
Absolutely!!! Thats the number 1 thing I tell people when they ask me how Ive made so much progress. HIGH INTENSITY!
I grew the most Ive ever grown and made the most progress when I was on fire at the gym in the spring and early summer. I was compound super setting almost everything with an opposing movement (push then pull, etc) with very little break between and keeping my heart going. Sweat would be pouring off me and holy shit they were good workouts
Ive been having trouble getting back to that intensity again since the summer but Im almost there again.
