Deadlift: 585lbs

=1395lbs

my bench is weak as hell

does adding it all up really mean anything?

could use it as a reference point against powerlifting totals.

fyi, i think the minimum to qualify for 181lbs in the big leagues is 1500lbs. jebus.

Matlock 11-07-2010 05:21 PM

^But, powerlifting numbers would be with gear right? I'm assuming everyone here is raw.

hal0g0dv2 11-07-2010 06:41 PM

yeah gear, i am on the fence about gear, yeah it is cool when someone does a 700 bench but when they were a bench shirt and there gut sticks out so they cant see there dick and the go down about 2 inches then push up with there gut its kinda BS, raw is so much better and looks bad ass when u out bench people shirted, power lifting not my style just my 2 cents

I guess I should mention that all this is raw.

The only gear I have is a belt which adds ~100lbs to my D/L and squat. IMO wearing bench press gear just looks stupid, it's not pure power.

Back to the gym today, after skipping Friday's workout after a stomach bug. Still don't feel 100% but luckily I will be doing Friday's workout and not Monday's.

Will be doing Mid-Pulley rows (standing), DB shoulder press, squat, and CURLS for the first time! ZOMG! All at 10-12RM for 40 reps each. 40 reps of squats is kinda gonna suck

hal0g0dv2 11-07-2010 07:45 PM

the belt adds 100 pounds really ?

jeffh 11-07-2010 07:59 PM

i agree 100lbs is nuts

bies tries and my lats are just on fire today from last nights pounding

prolly gonna invest in some chalk before tuesday, see what kinda dead lift i can pull together :D

hal0g0dv2 11-07-2010 08:19 PM

and this is why u dont squat on a smith machine

triplexcel 11-07-2010 08:23 PM

yeah, chalk is so much better than any other lifting material.

hud 91gt 11-08-2010 08:09 AM

Never done a 1rm, but here is my total using a 1rm calculation.

DL: 378
Squat: 329
Bench: 242

Total: 949

Alpine50 11-08-2010 10:11 AM

Picked up 1mr last night so going to try this stuff out and see if it makes a big difference haven't been on anything in maybe a year - year and a half, do you guys just take the 1 scoop? Someone said never take 3 but I dunno. I'm going to do just the 1 and see how that goes

sonick 11-08-2010 10:11 AM

1 full scoop will go a long way. That stuff is potent.

If you've never taken stimulants before stick to half a scoop.
1MR was my first caffeinated pre-workout ever, and the first time I took it, I used half a scoop.

My energy at the gym that day was endless

Alpine50 11-08-2010 10:40 AM

Alright good to know, thanks
Pretty pumped for the gym today

Holly shit I felt so good at the gym, best work out in a long ass time. I dunno if this stuff help or just gave me confidence but my lifts went from this last week to this now:

Curl - 40 to 45
Bent rows - 60 to 80
Squat - 140 to 230
Calf's - 110 to 135

I think I should have took half a scoop I took a full one.

d1 11-08-2010 03:05 PM

Squats 140 to 230 .. wtf? I gotta get some of this.

!Yaminashi 11-08-2010 03:16 PM

1MR is no doubt good stuff, but seriously take it easy on it when you first get it. You dont want to get tolerant to it within a week :p

RRxtar 11-08-2010 03:18 PM

your squat went from 140 to 230? and you're using curls and calf raises as a yardstick for whether a pre-workout drink is working? is there a chance you dont know what you're doing?

hal0g0dv2 11-08-2010 03:46 PM

just about to head out and do back shoulders biceps yeahhhhhhhh
