Kidding aside, are those #'s including the weight of the barbell? |
solid back work, meadow rows , v hook one hand pull down great for lat width, fished with deads shoulders, standing barbell, shoulder press dunbells, 6 ways biceps 10 min of no breaks and random exercises as i saw it |
I'm using curls and calf raises just to to name all the work outs that day that's all wasn't trying to say these are my hudge lifts or anything its been only a day of trying it figured I'd post what I did, if I'm not doin things right well I guess ill keep at it since I'm getting gains why which Posted via RS Mobile Edit didn't add the barbell I always forget that was my max squat before I took three months off only reasoin I asked if the supp works is bc maybe its all bs and its just a mind game I thing its helping but really I could have done it all along if I wasn't so scared to slap more weight on |

Squats yesterday, deadlifts today. I'm really loving going to Gold's, just because there is so much space and no congestion, I get to work whatever the hell I want in the free weights area. :Pbjt: Well worth the moneys. If any of you guys want to fool around with bumper plates I would recommend checking out Hastings Community Center. That's the old gym I used to go to when I wanted to be alone. |
For all of you too lazy to shop online, popeye's is having their 15% off everything sale this friday and saturday. didn't know hastings had bumper plates. one my training partner goes there. it sucks doing heavy oly lifts and not being able to drop the barbell. |
i put matts down when i do deadlifts, reduces the noise a tonne |

Question. My lower back hurts when I deadlift so I have swithced to dumbell deadlifts. I clearly can't do as much weight, but I feel a very similiar effect in terms of difficulty. It feel better on my back, but I was wondering whats everyone opinions on them? Better or worse then regular deadlifts? Any of you guys alternate between the two? |
It's a good idea to alternate between single leg dumbbell. For those that aren't doing it already, give it a try for a while. I guarantee your barbell deadlift #'s will go up. |
Perferably like this? |
Yup, exactly. You could use Dumbbells too. Make sure to keep the back straight, not rounded. That guy was rounding just a bit |

Finally was able to do like 5 reps with 20s LOL. Works out basically every part of your arm though. Really good workout. Thanks |

However, I suggest you don't neglect Barbell deadlifts. When I was a complete newb I was really weak and did strain my back once or twice, but through many hours of training I got the form nailed down. Get someone to spot you once in a while and work on your form above all, don't worry about weight until you're confident. Keep your abs tight. Posted via RS Mobile |

:D theres a difference between bringing the weight down quickly and "bouncing" it i dont feel that working a negative is good for form atall on a DL, im no expert tho |
working negatives while DLing HEAVY is a great way to hurt yourself. its too hard to keep form. heavy DLing is about pulling a ton of weight. you dont have to throw the bar down... control your lowering, but dont work too hard at it. and you're an idiot if you bounce deadlifts anyway, you should take a good solid gulp of air at the bottom before your next pull or you're going to end up face first in the rack if your repping anymore than 4s. working negatives while DLing lighter weights is fantastic for stability tho. I use mats too because we dont have bumper plates or a platform. |

when i do DL's i get down to bout1 inch off the ground then up again. Is it better to let the weight touch the ground then go for another rep? |
^ "Deadlift" so yes let it touch the ground and then up again. |
