Where is the best fitness world?? The one i go to in coq is not that good.. DB only go to 95 lbs and no power rack for doing squats.. i dont like doing squats without any safety.. the world gym by my house goes to 160lb dumbbells!!! but i dont think they have a power rack either..

I always do shrugs on back days as well

Deadlifts do far more for your traps than shrugs, IMO

same with standing shoulder press

RRxtar 01-08-2010 10:10 PM

yes and no. thats like saying you dont need to do any arm work outs if you do bench and back.

well yeah
but i barley do shrugs
the only ones i do are behind the back wide grip with a barbell so i get the lower trap part , my traps seem pretty big considering i don't do many shrugs

I'm in ottawa right now for a few months and the only gym I have access to does not have a squat rack...
so I can't do squats...

but they have a smith machine though.
Is that a good enough alternative? I know the smith machine restricts movement and isn't as natural so stabilizer muscles aren't really involved but then a leg press is the same thing eh.

edit
nevermind I found my answer here

there is exactly 0 chance in hell i would ever attempt a Steinborn Lift. that looks like a great way to tear your back and knees apart.

thats good, but do you take in enough protein? ive been stuck at 170 for a month and half now.. kinda pissed about that.. im gonna try to break it now.. im hitting the dumbbells really hard. how many pounds did you start at? i was able to do 50lb dumbbells when i first started.. maybe you started lower being the reason you are lower then me. (we both have worked out for the same amount of time i believe)

Just took my 2 week measurements: Waist and hips are down about 1" and shoulders and thighs are up. Going well :)
