do what rippetoe says and i also soak my hands in soapy water for a minute and then use a pumice stone to smooth out the callouses. usually do it once every 2 weeks. superstore sells them for $1

i buy em from costco. i believe raw almonds are banned in north america. but the closest you can get to raw is ones they sell at costco. it's not roasted. you can get a big bag on sale sometimes.
Good to know I've been holding weights "correctly" all along.. I always thought of my hands as "hooks" when doing pulling exercises, so it just made sense that the fingers would be holding the weight, not my palms.

like most people, i had the "grip as much and as hard as you can| grip which caused callouses... from lat pull downs to deads... but eventually, naturally, i started to do it the right way using my fingers to hook on. i think the callouses got too painful, and i jsut adapted to another way.. thank god for that

Skinny asian kid with glasses today walks into the gym, types on Blackberry for 20 minutes, does some preacher curls with more BBMing between sets (reverse pyramid, first 15 per side then 10!), does a few half-reps on the leg press, decides to let the plates slam down on the stack after each set, starts singing along to some emo-pop song on the radio, overloads the pec deck and rips out a few half-reps, starts doing some c-walk dance thing, does more reps on the pec deck, more dance moves, goes and asks the front desk guys to change the channel to TheScore, watches hockey highlights for 5 minutes, dances some more, does more pec deck.
Do you go to Razor? haha

My low carb diet and cut has started. Hopefully I can maintain most of my strength. Currently at 215lbs @ 18% bf. Goal is to cut down to about 9-10% bf.
for my maxes, i usually hit them on my 4th or 5th set depending on whati m doing

sorry for a late 2-3 page reply, i touch my chest and i dont workout like a typical "load the weights, lose the form" douchebag. im turning 19 this year.
I tried 185 without any pre workouts or proper warm ups and could only hit it for 1

In other news, my delts and traps will be on fire tomorrow morning. Pretty happy about my cardio, actually able to run on a (relatively) high speed for a decent amount of time compared to before =D

what time were you there? i was there around 6-730.
you are right about how the clips are loose. had to do cleans with one clip.
i was running around the whole place looking for plates. turns out some asshole took a lot of plates to the warmup area near the squash courts. there's at least 2 of each size there. ffffffuuuuuu

the weights are all over the place. hell i dont know how multiple 45 plates end up in the basketball court...but im still having a hard of a time finding 10, 25 and 35 plates.
