Nice video to watch that shows hard work pays off

i'm bringing my sledgehammer to sport central tomorrow. i'm gonna carry it around like overeem.

SkinnyPupp 01-22-2011 07:43 AM

Starting High Frequency Training in 2 days. That means I'll be in the gym twice a day, 3 times a week, for 4 weeks. I really have to ramp up my eating and sleeping to keep up with this.

I'm up to 214 now

nns 01-22-2011 03:44 PM

Any gyms around Vancouver that have a Prowler?

Oleophobic 01-22-2011 03:53 PM

For those people who worked out at SportsCentral today, is it true that they finally got more pins/clips/stuffs?

crossfit usually has them. but i'm not a fan of them, except for the crossfit girls.

usually i just use a tire and load it with plates for sled push and drags.

if there's no tires, just grab a warmup mat and a plyo box and some weights. make your own.

RRxtar 01-22-2011 07:16 PM

Did another sample pack of 1MR for a 3rd time tonite. Seriously, I dont know how you guys do that stuff every day. I feel like I've done too much bad E cut with god knows what. Not sure if I feel sick or awesome or what but I feel high as fuck!

I definitely dont recommend doing 1MR to noobs or as a first pre-workout supplement. Ive been taking pre-workout supps for 2-3 years starting with NO-Xplode and SuperPump250. Id be pissed if I started with 1MR and got used to it and nothing worked after.

That being said, I absolutely smashed all my PRs (that I set last week on 1MR) in weight and/or reps except for deadlifts because I honestly felt sick doing them. And yet I equaled my PR in deadlifts anyway.

tonite was:
Incline Bench
Seated Cable Row
Standing Barbell Press
Widegrip Pulldowns
Deadlifts
Preacher Curls

I DO NOT like how I feel on 1MR. Its been 3.5 hours since I took it and I feel all high and feel like hell. And Im definitely not someone whos over-sensitive to stims.

But isn't it worth it to feel like a monster in the gym???

When I was first on it I remember being so psyched to get to the gym, so psyched I couldn't even sit still while I had my rice cakes. Sometimes even putting my shoes on was hard cause I was so jittery.. Some say the jitters are bad but I loved them

reminds me of some kids at the gym tonight, when i was putting the 45's away they were doing some hands motions trying to describe my back and how wide it is haha, i have been doing rows but at the squat rack and holding like the pins and letting it almost touch the ground and pulling it slowly up and really hold the squeeze, also at i have been doing 7 sets of same weight like a cable row for 10-12 reps and 45sec

fuck i love back

DC5-S 01-22-2011 11:06 PM

what the hell lol so u mean bb rows @ squat rack with the bb rested on the pins?

jeffh 01-22-2011 11:26 PM

ive been hammering wide grip pull ups and extra sets of heavy lat pull downs on off days
seems to be helping mine a bit

Lolkai 01-22-2011 11:55 PM

Where do you guys get 1MR sample packs?!?!?!
I'm really tempted to try it after all this hype haha

nope, not yet at least. i went there expecting new stuff.

if anyone here has trouble finding plates. they're all in the fucking basketball court. there are literally 10 10's and a bunch of 25's in there and in the warmup area.

i would've brought them back but i was carrying tires back.

this is the most pissing thing ever seriously. WHY THE FUCK IS THERE WEIGHTS IN THE BBALL COURT.

Jer3 01-23-2011 12:53 AM

just a quick question to everyone as well. do you guys do full squats (ass to ground) or half squats (parallel to ground)? i've always done half squats and have been considering full squats but have been hearing that it puts wear on your knee joints, etc. can anyone chime in?

That's a relief. I just about this close to bringing my own clips. I did wonder about where the hell the dime and quarter plates earlier on Friday morning since I'm still stuck at one plate and changes. But the basketball court? Why ALL the way across the entire building!?

Jer3, I do both squats on leg days but I always, always go light weight on the ATG compared to the parallel squats since my hams are pretty weak. My belief's is that ATG do put some strain on your knees and lower back compared to half squats but work your hamstrings harder.

Second time back in the gym after a month long absense!!

I know this has probably been discussed before but any one have any good recommendations for good post-workout power wheys? Not into creatine or anything. I also take white flood before my workouts if that would effect anything.

Thanx
