Yeah I've had that too. I think its because of my posture.

the oval has like 6 or so squat racks.
there's a section strictly for power racks and it never looks busy.

goddamn 6 racks?

BB Tornado Mixer broke. Emailed them about the problem.

Received a new one in a weeks time.

Win.

i do alot of core and balance work at the end of the workout, usually about 20-30min, just to finish up

jeffh 03-02-2011 09:44 PM

my core comes from balancing the weights, skwats, deadlifts, and mil press all assault your core pretty good
and tri pushdown things use some core as well
i dont do crunches or stuff like that very often at all

RRxtar 03-02-2011 09:47 PM

squats, deadlifts, military presses really work your core good. i also do hanging leg raises and side bends. and tricep cable press downs hit your abs too especially into higher reps

Did you have to send them ur old one? Can't u just do this like 5 times then for unlimited mixers

SkinnyPupp 03-03-2011 12:14 AM

unilateral exercises are also really good for core. Basically take any of your favourite workouts, and use dumbbells instead. So 1-handed chest press, shoulder press, leaning raises (another good use for the smith machine is to lean on it for this). Split squats, 1 legged squats, 1 legged deadlifts. 1 sided cable pulls, curls, cable chest press, etc, etc, etc

Start with your weak side to judge how many reps to do.

Do any of you get really sore when you do chest/back days? Half way through the workout, i always seem to get really exhausted.

You mean sore a day after the workout? My chest always gets raped for 2 days after the workout.

What exactly is a cold flex? Is that flexing with no pump?

Do you eat enough carbs in your meals before going? Do you get enough sleep etc. or do more cardio

Nope. It just completely stopped working even after putting in new batteries. Threw the old one away and emailed them that it stopped working. Made an order on BB.com and was informed to email them my new Order # so they could send another mixer for free with my order. Next thing you know, they ship all my stuff UPS instead of DHL and I get it within a week.

Couldn't be happier.
