have basically worked the better part of 34 days straight since i went back to work with not even one full day off in that time. ran out of most of my supplements in that time. bodys feeling pretty worn out and a few of my joints are getting inflamed, especially my wrists. am taking this weekend off because of it.

workouts this week have been suck because of the pain. but that didnt stop me from upping my PR in rows by another 15lbs (30lbs in the last 2 weeks). fuck ya small victories!

nice looking day! what are hang cleans?

try putting the pullups between your shoulders and chest. gives your 'push' a bit of a break, and a good stretch between workouts.

Yes, that's exactly the order I did them in. Starting with OHP for the day (since this was OHP emphasis day). And hang cleans are probably the greatest exercise for traps ever! If there was one exercise that I took away from HS football...Cleans :)

RRxtar 04-01-2011 10:05 PM

ahh yes. i gotta start doing those more.

hal0g0dv2 04-01-2011 10:11 PM

yeah those rock for traps, only lagging body part if i was to get pin pointed in a contest

Had an epic BBQ yesterday after workout. Within 40 minutes, I consumed

1 sirloin steak
1 chicken steak
2 bratwursts
3 chicken wings
1/4 cup potato salad
2 cans of coke zero
2 skewers of veggies

I barely even stopped to breathe :lol

Whats the best trap workout? I only know shrugs and upright rows

SkinnyPupp 04-02-2011 11:19 PM

high pull is great for traps, and deadlifts of course.

Here is my rebuttal good sir,

colors look a bit off because of the flash, the two bigger pieces are just costco frozen chicken breast that I put in a ziplock baggy full of homemade marinade earlier this morning and then bbq-ed .. the red chicken is tandoori chicken that was leftover that I made as appetizers. Made it through 1+1/2 of those bigass chicken slabs + all the tandoori chicken before my stomach gave up. Can't wait for school to be done, eat like this for every meal and lift heavy, :fullofwin:

hal0g0dv2 04-03-2011 11:19 AM

Had to fail you because for beginners that is a terrible workout. your delts are not strong enough to handle 2 major push excercises assuming your gonna flat bench db press or bench barbell , whichever group you do first what you follow up next will be lacking hard! - IMO-

In what way is that a terrible workout? The movements in both are the same. You want beginners to have more recovery time.. not expand the time they're at the gym. It shouldn't matter if his shoulder press #'s aren't at full potential.. its an assistant exercise.

strykn 04-04-2011 02:20 PM

i dont see how you can have a solid chest workout after failing your delts :S

sonick 04-04-2011 02:29 PM

If he did chest first then delts it would be a good workout. However, since his goal was to get a PR for his delts, I would think that this is not the case, and the combination of doing so is counter-intuitive.

!Yaminashi 04-04-2011 02:39 PM

Agreed, if he did chest first THEN shoulders it would be fine.
Personally though I see what strykn means, on days when I've done chest the day after a shoulders day I struggled alot more
