I rather a dead gym then packed with tons of people. As long as they're showing the game on the TVs at my gym, I'm happy.

Supafly 04-19-2011 05:37 PM

I like hitting the gym around 330...when everyone is still working or in school....SC is dead at that time...love it.

Ohh Shit! 4/20! This is officially going to be the hardest day of my cut, It's going to take some serious willpower to not mow down on double cheeseburgers and nutella sundaes. Who am i kidding tho.....CARB RELAPSE!

wheycheap is crazy this week, just got 2 bottles (60 servings each) of ZMA for $33 Cdn. I like the dreams + chirpy mornings you get off ZMA, but apparently if you have calcium (even hours before you take it) your body won't absorb it. I've kinda had this glass of milk before bed routine going on for a long time, hard to break out of it.

Supafly 04-20-2011 06:29 AM

Lately after a hard workout, I've been having some serious rage issues....I literately have to deplete it through the heavey bag....does anyone else have this problem???....im not taking any supps at the moment. :tantrum

Is drinking straight eggs a suitable protein shake replacement post-workout? Out of whey :(
Posted via RS Mobile

sonick 04-20-2011 03:17 PM

It'll work but not as ideal. Egg protein is slower-digesting/absorbing than Whey protein, which you would want immediately post-workout. Also, one jumbo egg has 7g of protein, so to get the equivalent amount you'd need at least 3-4 eggs, which if you are cutting may take up a relatively larger portion of your daily caloric intake due to the extra fat. If you are bulking, the latter is moot.

Hondaracer 04-20-2011 04:29 PM

fuuuuu time to scrape my jugs

jimzilla 04-20-2011 04:45 PM

Some poor guy at the SFU gym got carried out on a stretcher today....

The guy was doing Romanian deadlifts with a crazy arched back and I was watching him, and he finishes his set and puts the weight down (225lbs) and he just collapses and starts seizing. When he finally comes to he wasn't able to stand straight up, if he did he would enter shock again. Pretty sure the guy herniated a disc or pinched a nerve in his lower back. Poor guy will probably never do deadlifts again. First time I've had to do first aid.

Scary shit.
