I know I need to do some legs, but you know how some people just have legs naturally.. well thats me so I havent done much legs. Over the past 2 months though Ive been able to lift more. ie going from dumbell pressing 60x10 i now do 75x10. I just feel like Ive plateaued
Any help would be appreciated thanks.
I used to think this way as well... That I naturally have big legs, so I dont need to work them out. But to tell you the truth, when I started working on legs, not only did I get more overall strength, I also lost weight. Legs are a huge muscle group to be neglected. Im sure everyone here would agree... squats and deadlifts are a must.

edit.
:okay:

Squats burn way more calories than just straight cardio.
Wouldn't you want some quad definition, rather than just big bulky legs?
Legs are half your body, I don't see why you wouldn't train them.

Your post reminds me of this:

Quote:

12. Fat loss does NOT come off most people in the areas they are usually most concerned about in the initial stages of a diet. For guys it typically comes off the extremities first and the waistline last. For most girls, upper body fat is lost first and lower body fat (thighs/butt) is the last place the body pulls from. Putting a tape measure around your waist for guys, and legs/butt for girls every week to measure fat loss will usually lead to a very frustrated dieter. As a trainer I have people tell me frequently they don’t think they are losing much weight during the initial stages of the diet, but after getting pictures or seeing them in person I point to their arms, legs (for guys) and face upper chest area and all of a sudden they notice all the separation and less fat in these areas that they failed to see before. People tend to just focus on the areas that they want to reduce while not understanding that the body sees the major fat storage areas as “survival” fuel and gives up that part of the bodies stored fat last.

Been eating a lot of eggs lately in the morning, but I wonder how much egg yolk I should eat. I eat 4 now and it still seems not enough to fill me up

RRxtar 07-28-2011 06:48 PM

anyone have a secret to make hardboiled eggs not make me not blow horrible farts all afternoon? its only hard boiled that does it.

dachinesedude 07-28-2011 07:17 PM

So is rack pull a good substitute for deadlifts? Or a complement

rJZx 07-28-2011 07:31 PM

^Complimentary... used to help build up the lockout part of the deadlift and reallly helps upper back thickness.

Killed Tri's today. Decided to do some supersets to really get a pump on. I can feel them now later in the day still tired.

Here is mine: I'm 170 @ 5"10, ideally want to be 180. For my size I can push and pull a fair amount.

RRxtar 07-28-2011 09:14 PM

ezol 07-28-2011 09:35 PM

Sorry didn't know how to do the 'spoiler' show button lol.
My back is OK. Really hard to take a pic with HTC. I'll try next time. I'm sure if I eat like a beast I can get to 180 but of course I'll have more chub around the waist. I need to break out of the 170 mark. Been there for the past few months.
