One thing I have noticed it that my stomach capacity is a lot smaller. It doesn't take nearly as much to make me full. While that makes it easy to keep calories down for cutting, it is a bit more difficult to get in enough protein. I'm at about 150g so far today
Thanks for bringing this up. Squat depth is critically important, but so is correct form. ATG-level depth most usually requires that the lumbar muscles relax the lordosis and that the hamstrings relax before extreme depth can be reached. It doesn't sound like a good idea to me that anything be relaxed in a deep squat, since doing this kills your good controlled rebound out of the bottom and risks your intervertebral discs. Those rare individuals that can obtain ass-to-ankles depth without relaxing anything might be able to get away with it, but as a general rule you should squat as deep as you can with a hard-arched lower back and tight hamstings and adductors. This depth will be below parallel, but it will not usually be "ATG".
As for why go as deep as you can: Well maybe I wasn't ing after all
a deep Squat is a full lower body exercise that turns you into a monster. A parallel squat is a quad exercise.
FML, went to ugrill, I thought "If I load up on chicken and beef only, it'll be cheap and all protein" ..
I only had mushrooms and broccoli + chicken .. fucking $30 later I'm still hungry. WTF U GRILL, coulda had a fucken steak. Never going U-grill again, its for skinny people. No way in hell can you fill up there.

Creatine with your morning tea/coffee:
I'm loading creatine (I haven't started taking it yet) and I want to load it properly. Can I just take 20g in the morning for 5 days, then keep going steady at 5grams? Will that be okay for loading phase?
Also, does creatine ever expire? I got an older bottle + a newer one. Both are same type of creatine.
Lol stay away from places that charge per weight. Meat is always thin, and veggies on the heavy side.
Mongolian grill on robson/denman ftw. Charge per bowl Posted via RS Mobile
I go as deep as my knees want me to go. I have bad knees so I listen to them on how deep I go. I was thinking about getting some wraps or better supports. I have a support for one of my knees but I would prefer to have both on equal footing.

Berz out.
i cant even come close to touching my ass to my heal on the left side. knee just doesnt work like that anymore.
but i still go deep enough that i can feel it in my ass and even inside my legs and basically everywhere for the next 3 days. so abit deeper than parallel does, infact, work more than just quads.
Fack I am sore today, I don't think I ate enough yesterday. I'll have to eat a bit more today so I can recover enough to kill it again tomorrow.
BTW if you find that dips hit your triceps more than your chest, try using a WIDER station. And lean forward. It is harder for me, because my triceps are more developed than my chest. Once you get strong enough, you can almost go completely horizontal and do pushups in midair
I found one of those 'assist' dip/chin machines that has adjustable bars. I always used a narrower grip because it was more comfortable and I could do a lot of weight. But then I realized, weightlifting isn't supposed to be comfortable, it's supposed to be fucking tough. Kills your chest!
I'm getting sick of 5x5, I feel bored going into workouts ... the workouts are tough, but I loved the bodybuilding style of weight lifting. I miss the pump ..
Spoiler!
.. so I cheated. I had a classic chest/triceps day today. Threw in some quick across the body hammer curls at the end (massive pump from these). Got a new PR for bench and close grip bench. Did skullcrushers and got another PR. Did heavy peck deck with good form. And heavy high rep dumbbell flies. Having a pumpgasm
For the first time in a long time I could see my arms bulging out from underneath my hoody, dat pump

That's what my friend said to me before. I haven't talked to him in the gym since.
Pretty sure every noob that starts working out wants to look like brad pitt in fight club lol. "I don't wanna get huge" is what they all say. Don't worry, you won't even if you tried lol

I don't mind working out through some pain, but if I got flu like symptoms, especially sore throat, drowsiness, I've learned to stay in bed and enjoy the day off. Will just equal to a shitty workout, plus get more sick. Posted via RS Mobile
