Been alternating rack pulls and deadlifts every week and man have they gone up.

Also been doing a bench press routine to up my bench. 8 sets of 1 on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (on top of my regular workout schedule)...adding 2.5lb each side every workout. Started off pretty damn light (165lb), currently at 210lb and my 1RM has also gone up. Haven't failed any sets yet. :D

what do u guys think of vince delmontes "no nonsense muscle building program" is it worth trying a buddy of mine 5'11 120lbs bought it online today and they sent him a pdf file which he emailed me, (pm email if u want it), itll probably work well for a beginner, he wanted me to explain it to him but i thought i might try it myself?

Since he already bought it he might as well use it. With your buddy's stats a good stimulus/overload program with quality calories surplus would do wonders for him.

Also, be cool for you guys to workout together so you can show him the ropes and change up your program at the same time.

This might be a bit of bro-science or witchcraft... but I just read a sentence in a big article that caught my attention. the sentence was to the effect of 'look at how your finger nails grow, thats protein synthesis in action'. That got me thinking. Do you ever notice at times your fingernails and hair grow faster for a few weeks or months and a bit slower over other times? I personally get my hair cut every 3 weeks and clip my fingernails the same day every week. I definitely notice more growth and less growth in those periods from time to time. Hell sometimes it seems I need to shave every day, and other times I could almost go a week.

Disregarding lifting for a minute, as lifting is really step 2 in the growing process behind diet. You wont grow no matter how much you lift if the nutrients arent there for your body to grow.

Could something as simple as an overlooked nuisance like getting your hair cut or having to cut your fingernails be an indicator on what kind of environment your body has to grow? Its not something most of us would really keep track of, but perhaps if you have it in the back of your mind, and you notice a period of longer fingernails, or shorter fingernails, take a look at the previous couple of weeks and see what your diet and life have been like. Have you been eating good clean protein filled food or junk? sleeping well? partying a lot? etc.

Or maybe Im bat shit crazy.

Does that stiff work? I just finished one week for some knee soreness and no noticeable benefits yet.

This is my second winter taking it. I swear by it. It seems to take 2 weeks for it to be noticable.

heres a copypasta from a post i made in the spring about it

A little back story: For about the last 4 or 5 years, every fall when the weather would start getting colder, I would develop real bad joint pain in my shoulders and knees. I have had nagging knee problems since I was a kid playing soccer, and my shoulders more recently, similar to what rotator cuff inpingement is. Every year, without failure, I could tell when the weather was getting cold in mid October. It was to the point where I could barely lift my arms laterally. The problem would come every october and go away every Feb-March I had been to the doctor and they didnt help other than to tell me to rest it. I have tried several other supplements and joint pain relief medications and they didnt help at all. This passed October in 2010, without failure, it started again and I decided I wasnt going to spend the winter like that again and started looking for something to help

My grandma heard it being advertized on the radio one day and told me about it. I found it at a place in Kelowna called Natures Fair. Its sort of a healthfood store full of vitamins and stuff, not sure what they have in Vancouver.

Its about $65 a bottle and has I think 180 pills. You take 3 a day. So it lasts for about 2 months.

I figured what the hell, Ill give it at shot but was definitely skeptical about it. I figured it was just another magic powder that didnt do shit. The bottle says you will notice it within 14 days, and I am dead serious, in 10 days, my joint pain had nearly completely gone away.

To add to my convincing, for 2 months, not one day did I have any form of joint paint. NONE. And remember, I had it every single day, every winter for the last 4-5 years, and had it for 2-3 weeks before I started taking it. My first bottle ran out in mid December, and I hesitated to buy another bottle, and sure enough, a week or 2 later, my shoulder pain started to creep back. I went out and got another bottle and within days, the pain went away. I continued to take it until the middle of February and I did not have a single day of joint pain.

It looks like a few NHL players are starting to get onboard with it now too. If you've got some nagging joint pain, give it a shot.

Seems like that would help me with the shoulder pain I get from doing weighted dips.

Hit new PRs on Saturday @ 197lbs

Bench press x13 205 lbs
Barbell row x15 185 lbs

Let us know how it works out. My left shoulder is improving enough from an impingement issue that it doesn't really affect my routine anymore(as long as I stay away from overhead exercises), but it's still sore as F##$ when I wake up in the middle of the night because I was sleeping on it wrong.

RRxtar 11-13-2011 03:59 PM

its not going to cure an injury. but it makes the aches go away

XplicitLuder 11-13-2011 04:40 PM

what does that contain ? i have joint issues on my forearms that never allowed me to go back to using the barbell to curl =[ but been taking a supp that have 1500mg of glucosamine and it seems to have helped tremedously! and it only costed me..like 20$ ? lol and each "cycle" lasts me 20days. Basically it's a little tube with a red liquid inside which i put into a glass of water and it tastes like vitamin water :fuckyea: so g0000d lol

LC21 11-13-2011 05:04 PM

and again I'll ask if anyone knows exercises to stop elbows from clicking, it doesn't affect me but it's annoying how it clicks on some exercises and when I'm waving my arm around
