hal0g0dv2 11-22-2011 07:02 PM

someone give me squat powers fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

Stealthy 11-22-2011 07:28 PM

Decided to try for some PR's today.

225 x 2 squat (ATG)
Some guys at the gym told me that I shouldn't go past parallel and I just said okay then :ilied:

305 x 1 deadlift (with a belt)

I had the bar up to my thighs for the deadlift and I forced myself to hump that bar. Said "UP!" pretty loud and everybody just gave me a weird look. Feelsgoodman

Weight still stuck at 147 lbs but as Berz said earlier, it's just an irrelevant number.

XplicitLuder 11-22-2011 08:52 PM

Try working on your grip by doing exercises like upright rows and bent over rows without using your thumbs, your grip really improves

jeffh 11-22-2011 09:35 PM

no straps
harden the fuck up

thank me later when you are raw dling 4 plates like a couple others round here (not me :alone: )

Berzerker 11-22-2011 09:38 PM

RAW DL 4 Plate Club whoooooo! My back is looking solid. Should of started training back years ago hahaa. Wish I could take a proper pic of it but my co-ordination sucks haha. Gonna have to find me a bisch to take a pic for me.

jeffh 11-22-2011 09:55 PM

Berzerker 11-22-2011 09:58 PM

Tell those guys to f off, you should always go down below your parallel when doing squats. Let say you join the olympic, when you don't go down to your parallel it won't even count when doing squat!

Yeah, when I started out I went to parallel. Once I started lifting heavier I felt some heavy pressure on my knees when pushing up with my heels.

kevin7352 11-23-2011 06:34 AM

hey i am on SS and i am having a little trouble progressing my bench press. i am benching really light and already having trouble so in turn makes it hard for me to do linear progression on that. all my other lifts have been steadily increasing (mainly squats)
any tips on how to improve my bench press?
