for example, for a guy with long arms to touch the bar to his chest, his elbows need to be brought much further down than a guy with short arms.

a guy with (for example) 9 inch forearms could probably have their upper arms parallel whereas a guy with 15" arms would need to have his elbows effectively 6 inches lower to bring the bar down to the same place. the guy with short arms is only doing like 60% of the range of motion that a guy with 15" arms is doing.

Deadlifts are even worse on a guy with longer legs. They need to have their upper body bent much further forward (ass and hips further back or up) than a manlet does. a 5'6 guy is basically doing rack pulls compared to a 6'+ guy

and all that being said, halo is the tallest guy here. so none of us have any excuses.

Good to know! I can't touch the bar with my chest, it jus strains the hell out of my shoulders. Im assuming some of you taller guys have the same problem.

Start working your rotator cuffs. Honestly my shoulder flexibility and range of motion has increased by probably 40% over what it was before I started. It helps your shoulders, back, and chest.

Try this stuff:

What gym do you guys go to btw? who knows.. maybe some of us go to the same ones..lol

Excelsis 12-15-2011 01:43 PM

as long as i have my arms at a 45 degree angle and I do rotator cuff and rear felt exercises I'm good

feels good being 6'0, not too short not too tall :D
although when I pass through Richmond centre feels like I tower over everyone :troll:

At 6'2" I have a hard time getting the bar close to my chest when I bench with any considerable amount of weight, but who would be willing to give up height to be able to bench more :fuckthatshit:

5' 4", 120 lbs @ 16

i'm an ectomorph, and i have trouble gaining weight. i've been trying to gain weight for the past year, but no significant changes. just going from 120 to 125, and back to 120 again (maybe 'cause i stay up too late?) :( i don't care if it's fat or muscle, i just want to be at least 150 before summer (excluding the potbelly)
any certain diets/foods that will give me some meat? any advice would be appreciated
Fcukedd inspires me LOL

JD get some string and measure around the thickest part of your bicep and then measure the length of string....

Here's what I look like currently @ 190lbs I've been focusing on filling my chest out and building my neglected back lol.

Berz out.

I use beta alanine, but it's not like caffeine where it has an immediate effect. It is more like creatine, in that you have to increase blood levels over time.

Take 4g twice a day, and eventually it will kick it.

It is not as good as creatine for high weight/low rep, but is really good for lighter weights and especially for HIIT.
