I heard (might be wrong) that you can tear your muscles pretty badly and end up getting scar tissue instead of muscle tissue if you use too heavy weights. Is there a general rule to prevent this?

if you're looking for a general rule before you lift heavy weights -- warm up

if you want to get serious you need to progressively lift more and more heavy weight

btw, anyone who can lift an crazy amount i can guaruntee you has lots of muscle tissue and accumulated that from lifting heavy.. no scar tissue here

How do you warm up? Do you mean doing cardio/corn exercises first?

only do cardio for 5 mins before working out.. anymore will reduce glycogen levels in the body which is detrimental to weight lifting

Yessss, hit a personal high in weight, up 10 lbs from when I first started bulking at the end of April, and hit a personal best for my deadlift and bench.

lol, I think I have reverse anorexia, just this morning I thought I felt skinnier than usual coz I hadn't had a full workout since last Wednesday.

One thing I can say about lifting heavy is the muscle tends to just look more solid and sticks around for longer.. If you look at powerlifters who do a cut you will know what I mean..

I meant CORE exercises, not corn lol. Okay so would 5 min cardio, then workout, including core and arms/legs shit like that, is okay?

I hate those people. What a waste of a squat rack.

And I sweat like a mother fucker for some reason. If I know im doing "higher heart rate" stuff i usually throw on under armor and a loose T-shirt so at the end I dont look like I just came out of the pool.

Side note: just got a new shipment of Animal Pak, Superdump, BCAA, and more goodies.

I am travelling in the states next week, should I bring my creatine in my checked baggage or no? Would I have issues with customs and airport security?

jeffh 06-21-2010 09:16 PM

started a creatine cycle today. gonna see if i can hit and stay at 190lbs this time around. god that seems so heavy from where i was just 6 months ago.

altho it seems to be significantly harder to train after working 10 hour days in the 35* kelowna summer heat.

ezol 06-22-2010 01:29 PM
