Squat variations - front, overhead. You're lifting way lighter weights and it just gives your body a break physiologically and psychologically. If I'm feeling like shit in the gym, I'll back off and just do other stuff and dick around with lifts I don't normally do. No sense in pushing and risking injury.
Similar to above, deloading and doing more volume. Was doing 3 x 5 and was stalling out too much so I decided to go to 6 x 6 at lighter weights. Going to test that out and see how I progress. Completely arbitrary rep and set cycle. Want to slowly increase to 10 x 10.
Your leg muscles especially respond well to volume so try that next time.

^ I think I hate noobs more lol.. Came into the gym today,4 days after flu feeling great, then I see this guy doing overhead presses with just the bar and resting like 3 minutes before doing it again..
Then I see him go and do cross over flyes with like 60 lbs and 1/8 rom
I wonder how many more experiences I would've had if I didn't go in the morning as usual Posted via RS Mobile |

Speaking of flyes, I always see people doing dumbbell chest flyes with too much weight, and it ends up looking like a neutral grip dumbbell chest press 90 degree bend in their elbows |

First gym of the new year was pretty good. I don't know if I am still recovering from being sick, resting too little between sets or something else but I've been feeling dizzy and tired as fuck at the end of my workouts.
Also, there was this one guy at the gym pestering me to use the barbell so I rushed through my sets to be considerate and after I finished he never even used the barbell fuuuuu

^ there was a bunch of asian teenagers, probably just a bit older me all just hanging out by the free weight rack and all they did were bicep curls, 15's. they struggled for 15's in the end because one guy said it was good to go 20 reps of 15 (both arms at once) and then 20 more reps of 15 one arm at a time.

Two days of near puke inducing workouts in a row.
Day 1a: 4 x (1' all out, 2' rest, 6' all out, 6' rest)
Day 1b: Gym
Day 2: 4 x (4' all out, 2' rest, 4' all out).
I feel like death right now.

Holy sweet fuck the gym was busy! And then my ipod decided to quit on me 1 minute in. So I had to spend 15 minutes trying to figure out how to download music to my phone wondering why I havent put any music on my phone yet.
On the bright side tho, they FINALLY got a full squat rack! So I wowed the noobs.

Back day today at fuckin' Bonser.
First of all, this place is a fuckin zoo. You have your fair share of dicks, cunts and everything in between.
In my experience, the only time you won't get all these WTF looks and moments is early in the morning. Newbs don't wake up early enough to work out.

Heavy-bear hug arms db flyes then normal-slight bend db flyes usually gets me hard and once every few weeks I add an overkill superset of pushups to failure on the last set.
^Usually do the bear hug flyes on flat and normal db flyes on incline.
