Whoever isn't in the BB group please post here, too many PM's over the last day to go through. If you are a regular poster (lurkers are NOT welcome) you will get an invite.

It's basically a place where we can post progress pics without it being out there. We trust each other not to do anything with them, etc.

Invite please

Excelsis 01-05-2012 08:40 PM

Set two new PB's tonight. Pulled 180 on the seated row machine for a set of 6, previous best was 165 for a set of 8. At the end of my workout I did DL's, and did 2 reps of 255 when my grip failed (no flip grip). I only started doing DL's about 3.5 months ago with a plate a side so I'm pretty stoked with my progress. I might start doing DL's at the beginning of my back workouts now just to see what I can do when I'm fresh. Up until now I've just been doing them at the end to fully burn out my body.

And I didn't even feel like working out tonight. Motivational thread kicked in!

You would eat 1500. Having said that, you need a hell of a lot more than 2000 calories a day to gain weight. For you, you're probably what, 150? Call it about 10-12 calories/lb to lose weight, 13-15 to maintain and 16-18 to gain (I can't remember the numbers exactly, but it's all a guess anyways). 150 * 18 = 2700 calories a day.

High intensity workout as in with weights? If so, unfortunately, not much. A HARD rowing workout at a 6 minute 2000m pace (that's insanely fast) only does about 1100 calories an hr and that's going balls out, seeing red by the 1 minute mark.

With weights, lets say you can keep up the rowing intensity for half an hour (I assure you, you cant), that's only 550 calories. Assume you decide to do interval training with a 1'/1' cycle, that's only 15 minutes of work and you'd be destroyed after that. Congrats.. maybe 300 calories.

Just want to add don't forget the increased thermic effect of a revved up metabolism after doing resistance training.

RRxtar 01-05-2012 09:24 PM

also want to add if you arent sure if you've eaten enough, stop thinking and make a damn sammich.

Benefit6o4 01-05-2012 09:25 PM

i guess i should introduce myself.

Im 16 schooling started working out 2 months ago in between that i wasn't serious and kept skipping out days I've been working out for 3 weeks serious so far and seen sick results bulked from 132 to 157 in 1 month and a half. (Semi-Clean bulk)

Her and her friend were doing abs and then finished on the treadmill (yes I stalk back)

Also, I winked at her as I left, she laughed, but in a friendly way.
I forgot her face already, oh well, you win some you lose some.

OH also, I made my first shake today:
-1 scoop protein
-1 tablespoon peanut butter
-about a serving of oats
-1 cup of milk

and blended as smooth as possibly could, still thick... is this right?

kevin7352 01-05-2012 09:30 PM

can't match most of these numbers so i preferred to be more passive

jeffh 01-05-2012 09:31 PM

theres a reason its a select group. we made it private so not just anybody with 5 posts can roll in and look at our progress pics

theres alot of trust being put out there by someone posting there pics

truth 01-05-2012 09:34 PM

RRxtar, I tried the rear delt raises last week and found it much more satisfying than what I was doing before.

naw usually in the first 3 months of starting working out you gain results really well, I checked my bf already it was at 13% . It was 9% before I started so i obvs gained a lil.

On a side note. People that claim to lift big should post a picture otherwise noone is going to take you seriously from now on.... Im looking at you Alpha:troll:

SkinnyPupp 01-05-2012 09:37 PM

And it's not just about numbers. Everyone has different numbers, goals, physiology, drug enhancement, etc. Numbers mean nothing to anyone but yourself.

RRxtar 01-05-2012 09:41 PM

K, again... Welcome to all the new members! It looks like we've got 15 new guys here since the weekend. Stick around and look around and dont be afraid to post questions! But if what you're asking may be something thats been asked by everyone before, try clicking the button on the top right called "Search this thread" and also check out the supplements thread.

And nearly everyone in here whos a regular posted pictures of their back about a month ago.

truth 01-05-2012 09:54 PM

if I can get an invite that would be great, have some pics, but didn't wanna post here.
