Carb/Calorie deficient leg and shoulders today. 500lb squat and 225lb standing OH press (no gay pushpress shit). I weigh in at 205lbs atm.
This intermittent fasting thing is likewtf. Some days I rape my workout, the others I get raped.

I think of acupuncture as voodoo so I'm biased. Chiropractors actually manipulate and straighten things where as a bunch of needles in your skin do what ???
Berz out.

I've had literally thousands of chiro, physio and massage sessions and on a number of occasions acupuncture.
I've never had acupuncture entirely isolated from any other therapy and I can't definitively isolate the results, but it has always been an aid. I wouldn't discount it entirely based on initial perceptions, because even if it is just a placebo the end result is decreased pain for the vast majority of people.
So I got to try wearing a belt today for squats. This was at the end of a fasted workout, so I was struggling with 2.5 plates per side for 3 reps. So with the belt it totally felt like EZ mode, and easily busted out 4 reps damn near a2g.
With that I lost all respect for people who wear belts doing less than 3 plates, and I'm not going to do it again until I'm there Posted via RS Mobile
funny you should mention that. ive been belt shopping in the last 2 weeks. ive decided i will wear a belt on deads above 4 plates and above 3 plates squats.
i dont think anyone should wear a belt below that sort of weight because if your body cant support that level of weight, you shouldnt be handling it and you should work on the things required to. i see lots of guys in the gym who walk in wearing a belt and use it their whole exercise (no joke, even when doing tricep kickbacks and wrist curls.). they litterally look like the belt is holding them together and they will explode if they lifted without it.
Jim the reasons your workouts vary in quality during IF is because of how you ate the day before. Make sure to alternate between high carb and high fat days, with high carb days taking place on training days. I find that if I don't eat enough calories the day before, my workout the following day suffers.
hey was wondering if anyone here has taken the CPTN-CPT personal trainer cert before or if any of you are planning on taking it. For those of you that have, what are your thoughts on it?
There are no principles, there are only events. There is no good and bad, there are only circumstances. The superior espouses events and circumstances in order to guide them.
My triceps are not gaining any fucking strength for the past 3 months.. I can barely get them sore anymore.. I do cgb, skull crushers, overhead extensions with rope or dumbbell, dips, pull downs and I switch it up every week. Wtf is going on Posted via RS Mobile

My friend gave me a scoop of 1MR to try today (Old formula with 1,3 DMAA), did an ARM day.
Previous PWOs tried: White Flood, Razor 8, Assault
I guess I'm a bit stim tolerant, the one scoop didn't really affect me too much.
I did find myself being able to get more reps in and being more focused but nothing out of the ordinary.
Took it at 1240 PM, some onset at 1:10.
Tasted alright with 10 oz of water, blue raspberry. Bitter after taste.
Side effect of having a REALLY dry mouth, I was drinking water after each set and still felt dry.
Beat my CGBP personal best however, from 135 x 6 (last time) to 145 x 6.5 assisted last rep.
Managed to do 3 chin-ups with a 20 lb dumbbell between my legs though.
Weighted dips with 30 lb dumbbell to 5 reps. (Previous 25 x 10)
I got a nice pump but then that's not relevant.
Was it worth trying? Sure.
Would I buy it myself? Probably not. I don't think I'll be fucking with more 1,3 Dimethyl-fuckyourshitup.
No crash as of yet, still feeling normal as when I went to the gym.
Anyone have some tips to make squats and deadlifts more explosive? When i try to do them explosive it just slowly goes up, idk what i could do.
How about you ease up on the weights? Most likely there is a problem with your form, and maybe perhaps you are not driving with your hips? Also, squats are not for everyone. They are a great overall compound powerlifting exercise. But not everyone's spine can sustain the spinal compression under such heavy weights regardless how well your technique is. watch out for knee injuries too. muscle imbalance between your quads and hamstrings will cause your knee caps out of alignment.
