Question for you people... Is there any point in doing squats with your legs close together? That is, with your knees and feet pointing directly in front of you rather than having your feet a bit wider than shoulder length apart and the toes/knees pointing outwards? |
anyone else hit a point where you can't do your regular weight, or is it just me? :( legs feel tired as hell and doing my warm-up weight on squats dont feel the same as before, and they are bit more challenging |
There will be more quad emphasis, but IMO a back squat should be done as to hit your entire lower body as effectively as possible (roughly shoulder-width stance), and not isolating a muscle. If you want to hit more quad, just do a front squat. |

After all the shit I said about straps in the past I was forced to use them tonight. Going for a 365 DL, just about locked out, the bar slipped out of hands to my fingertips and I was seeing stars so I gently put it back down. Borrowed a guys straps and had to ask him how to use them :fuckthatshit: Went for it again and NO PROBLEM! Had truth spotting me and felt like I could have done 2-3 reps but didn't push my luck. Way easier being able to focus on your form and the push/pull rather than just holding on to the bar for dear life. What a difference. That pic I posted earlier of Ray Lewis is exactly how I looked / felt locking out 365 for a full 2 seconds while the stalky stretch mark juice monkeys watched in awe :fuckyea: |

this thread brings the lulz all the time another fun night at the gym for me, made new playlist for the free ipod apple gave me they ran out of lockers so Rrxtar told the guys up front to give us the key to the "members plus" area, fucking lounge and executive style locker room hiding in the back corner of our gym lol sholders and back, off the creatine so just trying to mainatin my weight and strength still floating around 172ish ill snap some pictures and throw em up in the club if there is any noticeable changes lol |
