Do you guys ever lift when you have a cold?

Last two days I've gone sick and my lifts have been lacking. I'm gonna listen to my body and rest this week.

I wouldn't risk it going to the gym with a cold, it's gonna make you feel like shit when you try do your normal weights but you're unable to.

You may just up putting extra stress on your body, forcing it to work even harder to recover.

I wouldn't do any thing too heavy or intense, if you have to.

I've been sick and gone to the gym and been stronger then before. I have also felt weaker at times.. But not going because you have a cold it's a lame excuse..

I lift when I have a cold. Usually I have to lower the weight but I still get there.

Lifting with a cold is a horrible idea. The more you rest, the sooner you'll recover, and can lift at 100% instead of 50% and feeling like shit. Plus you'll spread your cold which is not cool.

Got the flu..i feel like shit, no appetite, and cant lift. I dont even wanna hit the scale

The best feeling is when you fully recover from a cold, and going beast mode on the weight training.:fuckyea:

does anyone else LOl when they see the "I like to ride my bicycle thread" ?

Matlock 03-11-2012 12:19 PM

I still don't get why most people at the gym don't squat below parallel.

Today I saw a guy squatting up to 4 plates, but every time he increased his weight he reduced his depth. By the time he did 4 plates he was only going for 1/5 depth. No wonder he had knee wraps.

fuuuuuu second set of the day shoulder press, I somehow pulled/tweaked my neck while putting the weights down. took it relatively easy the rest of the work out. I can hardly move my neck right now :okay: feelsbadman
