So basically, its what you eat/drink(use as chase) after/during drinking that can cause weight gain and throw off your hard work during the week.
The article against drinking & working out doesn't mention anything about spirits. Just wines and beer. While the leangains article states "Cognac, gin, rum, scotch, tequila, vodka and whiskey are all basically zero carbs. Dry wines and spirits is what you should be drinking, ideally. Take them straight or mixed with diet soda"
I always chase my hard liquor with water, so I don't get a hangover the next morning.. Haha.
Yup hard liquor is the way to go. 3 shots should be more than enough for your 150 lb asian frame
1 to 3 drinks can actually help, not hinder. Don't go over that though imo. Go read LeanGains posts on alcohol
I must say Skinny, your knowledge of dietary topics always impresses me.
I've been under the impression that alcohol even in moderate amounts has a fairly significant negative impact on training, but you just kicked yet another BroScience myth out of my head.
The dopamine release from just 1 stiff drink each night can really help with recovery, but make sure you stay hydrated. A lot of us are using a lot of stims and creatine which dry the fuck out of you
BTW here's the page I was referring to, for others to check out. It is some really intriguing stuff, compared to the broscience that goes around commonly.
Woke up slightly hungover, but still managed to hit the gym by 9am for back day. Powered out 295x5 DL's with a dual overhand grip. Forearms are getting stronger

another question for you guys,
when bulking, is it best to still stick to good dieting and weight gainer? or go hard with food and eat whatever I see? Including shitty/junk/fast food?

I'm getting mixed answers from my buddies.
thanks brahs
IMO, stick to eating clean. Don't buy a weightgainer...they're such a waste of $$$ and filled with crazy amounts of sugar.. just make your own (Add pb, bananas, EVOO etcetc)
Have a cheat meal 1-2 times a week to keep sane. If you do choose to go with the dirty bulk, you'll gain too much fat in a short amount of time. Go slow with the bulk..and you'll end up with better results. Hit the gym hard, sleep well and all should fall into place. Cheers.
^+1 to that. Def don't get weight gainer, I made the mistake of getting it and i mean, it does help with the bulk, but its not worth it for it's hefty price. I gained the majority of my bulk from eating my meals, you just gotta eat more calories than you usually do, and beast it out at the gym. And in regards to the dirty bulk, it should be ok if you're an ectomorph... if you're an endomorph, def stay away from the dirty bulk... by endomorph, i mean you already have an excess amount of fat and are looking to burn it off and gain more lean muscle mass.

Avoid true shit like fast food. A chocolate bar once in a while isn't going to hurt you. But you'll get better results by continuing to eat clean. My current bulking diet consists of lots of chicken, lean sirloin ground beef, whole wheat pasta and bread, peanut butter, eggs, yogurt, brown rice, and so on. I've been eating like this for the last couple years but have recently focused on my diet more and upped my overall intake to bulk on more lean muscle. I'm an ectomorph so I do take weight gainer shakes which are about a cup worth of mixed fruit, sometimes fresh sometimes frozen, 1 scoop of glutamine, 4 scoops of QuickMass Loaded (60g of protein), and I mix that with unsweetened Cranberry/Raspberry juice until the blender is full. My shakes are an A&W mug full. Sometimes I throw some yogurt in there too.
I peaked out at 203 then started to drop weight while my strength has continued to increase, shoulder pressed 80 DB's lastnight for the first time ever. Been on GOMAD for the last 3 days and shot right back to 204 and will hopefully continue to rise with all the added calories and protein. Not sure what your goals are but hopefully this helps. I've posted a couple photos in this thread, most recently on page 661. Just for lols, here's how I looked a couple years ago as a 160lbs skeletor:
