this!

Lol, I have friends that rag on me for doing this. I ain't trying to show off my tiny biceps or legs, it's the cotton that gets sticky and uncomfortable/restrictive.
I'm trying out these sleeveless dryfit shirts, great stuff - Wish my belly was non-existent lol. And for shorts, it's really a compromise between cost. Cotton shorts for 5 bucks or high quality comfortable/non restrictive at 30? :suspicious:

I'll just hike up my shorts for squats thank you.

You don't wash your clothes after each workout....:suspicious:

V necks aren't bad actually. Got some at H&M and the material is loose fitting and thin. I don't mind the stickiness of cotton but sometimes it just makes the shirt all stretched and wet and just messed up lol

that is true, and by no means am i an animal haha but iuno for me i find it as a type of motivation to tell me im an animal and to work my ass off. To each their own i guess

Yeah man true story.. Ultimately it boils down to whatever can motivate u in the gym.. You could wear a heat armour (hoodie and sweatpants), or wear your old tshirts, or wear nothing but undies... Its whatever motivates you best...

He was trolling ya. For me it's all about function. If an old t shirt was as functional as a dry fit tank, I'd happily wear one. But I don't go to the gym to use Cybex machines all day, so it won't do.

Nailed my head on the peck deck, and have a 1 inch gash on my forehead. Serves me right for using the peck deck :p

Blood running down my forehead ended my chest workout a little early.

Do you guys ever take a week off to deload?

Don't really take a week off but with Jim Wendler's 5/3/1 every 4th week is a deload week.

Berzerker 06-12-2012 09:29 AM

Deload should be 1-2 weeks of lifting at half of your normal weights. Not stopping everything altogether.

Berz out.

instantneedles 06-12-2012 10:10 AM

Fuck, I should really think about taking breaks. I literally lift every single day of the week, some days I'll even be doing other physically active things like martial arts or running in addition to lifting. It's called stupid commitment I tell ya.

You get used to it, and probably used to having a certain amount of energy per day. You'll feel beastly when you're properly rested

hud 91gt 06-12-2012 10:20 AM

edit: How the hell do you delete a post? lol

jimzilla 06-12-2012 10:21 AM

If you are doing more a body building routine - what berz said, 1-2 weeks of half origional weights
If you are doing for strength - best would be to take 4-7days off for muscles to fully recover and grow

hud 91gt 06-12-2012 10:23 AM

Berz, you popped my fail cherry. I feel we have a connection now. lol

After 4 weeks of high weight low rep, I do 1 week of low weight high rep.

Planned deloads are a lot better than running into a wall and skipping days.

I commend you for lasting 4.5k posts without being failed! haha. I guess you could say, Your my bitch now!

Seriously though... how the hell did you do it?

Berz out.

hud 91gt 06-12-2012 11:31 AM

Pretty simple. Bent down to adjust the weight pin, and stood straight up and hit the adjustable plate thing for the arms. Brilliant.

That's cool, my mentality of going to the gym is "this is my last chance to get shit right". That's my my drive to pushing myself to the limit.

And since instantneedles posted a photo of himself, that's my bench mark to "look like that guy"

BaoTurbo 06-12-2012 02:37 PM

Ok this morning I can't straighten my left arm. Right arm is a little better. When is this getting better? I can't even fap now :(

Berzerker 06-12-2012 02:42 PM

5-7 days is normal for sore muscles. Getting back in the gym and working them out again is the best thing you can do for them.

Berz out.

Excelsis 06-12-2012 02:42 PM

no fap challenge while you're at it :troll:
