+1 to that. I don't even ask people to spot my dumbbell presses/dumbbell shoulder presses anymore because I just don't find the need to. The only reason I'd ask them for barbell is because I can't drop a bar off to the side, and its alot easier to collapse on top of me.

on the other hand, for dumbbell shoulder presses especially, i find that if I can't even kick up the weights to starting point myself, I most likely won't be able to rep out 8 for that type of weight. I tried 90s and it didn't work, even with spotter... 85s were fine though cus I was able to kick it up myself

J.C 07-08-2012 06:44 PM

broke a couple 5 rep pr's on squats and deadlifts (double overhand grip) on friday :fuckyea:

230 x 5 on squats
and 235 x 5 on deadlifts

2x bodyweight squats + 3 plate deadlifts by the end of summer :D

hal0g0dv2 07-08-2012 08:25 PM

ya im the person that puts the heaviest barbell on the top of the preset rack so its hard to get off, deal with it

SkinnyPupp 07-08-2012 08:30 PM

Anyone here do overhead squats? That's what I'll be doing today... Kinda scary... :accepted:

Excelsis 07-08-2012 08:46 PM

didn't RRxstar try that with just the bar and fell?

:fuckthatshit:

SkinnyPupp 07-08-2012 08:56 PM

LOL well I have been including it with an empty bar as part of my warmup, so I know that won't happen at least!

The question is, what will happen once I load up the weights with my 5RM :considered:

We shall see!

Also doing dips and neutral grip pullups

it's weird, i normally just ask for a spotter for the lift off lol then i can rep out what i aim for just fine. It's just the lifting part that sucks haha

hal0g0dv2 07-08-2012 09:20 PM

Leg extension put the back part all the way up then sit so your almost falling off
, tear drop mania exercise

Okay so that was kind of weird. I think I'll be able to do a plate per side, but I get this weird tingling in my last 2 fingers on my right hand. Need to work out the proper foot placement, my heels were starting to lift, and I think I was over arching my back.

Really alpha though I recommend it :megusta:

Werent you doing 185lb overhead squats last year? Or am I mistaken?

SkinnyPupp 07-09-2012 01:28 AM

No way that wasn't me. Overhead press maybe. I'd have to check my logs

strykn 07-09-2012 07:53 AM

Anyone else really pissed off at their arm progress? I feel I got the most disproportionate build. Legs are good, back is good, shoulders are okay ... arms and chest are just a big letdown. Finally started a dedicate arms day, hopefully progress comes soon

XplicitLuder 07-09-2012 11:17 AM

i feel arms, bi n tri, lack the most out of everything (legs dont count cus i cant do squat due to knee injury LOL)

spideyv2 07-09-2012 11:55 AM

I lack arms, pecs, and calves. Fuckin disappointing.

Berzerker 07-09-2012 12:19 PM

I lack Shoulders, Chest, Back, Arms, Legs. #Neversatisfied

Went wakeboarding for the first time yesterday. Fucking forearms are just jacked today. Guy driving the boat didn't know how to drive for wakeboarding (starting off pretty slow) and kept gunning it. Grip Strength test over and over again. Today I could barely do 1 plate double overhand grip dead and BB rows. I even had trouble gripping the dumbells for my curls. First time I've had to use straps to do most of my back workout
Spoiler!

Hopefully they recover soon. On a side note people be 'Mirin hard at the beach. Tan is on point, dat der low Carb diet got dem abs poppin' (fuck I hate BB.com)

Berz out.

hal0g0dv2 07-09-2012 12:20 PM

Since you can't squat, what's your leg routine?

I can't squat either, so I do leg press, leg extensions, seated leg curls, and seated calf raises.

thegentleman 07-09-2012 12:46 PM

Suffering from bigorexia? Lacking chest and I think I could do better with traps.

Went Tubing on Saturday and pulled a deltoid muscle after I wiped out I tried to hold back on with one arm, bad idea. Won't be able to put anything heavy over my head for a week or so.

Berzerker 07-09-2012 12:58 PM

I call that Manorexia haha. I suffer too. I find when I look in the mirror as much as I do you lose site on how big I actually am. It's not until I see myself in a picture beside other people that I really grasp it.

Berz out.

legs are somewhat non-existent. Not only does my knee prevent me from it, but i had leg surgery roughly 2 months to remove my vericose veins, but its still a bit swollen/numb around my right ankle area so i can't really do much for legs. i guess i could do leg curls and calf raises, thats bout it lol so not gonna lie, no leg workout what so ever.
