^upright rows and front barbell shrugs. Deadlifts are good in that they really help add mass to your traps, but if you really want to isolate them and make them look cut out and visible, try out some of the exercises i mentioned...
is there a way to target dif. areas of your traps, with dif. shrug variations/trap exercises? or must you work it as a whole and it will grow all together? me n my friends traps r dif mine are taller n bigger closer to my ears (from deadlifting) & his are more built in the area closer/above the shoulder from a front view, this is the area im trying to target, any1 have some insight on this?

There are no principles, there are only events. There is no good and bad, there are only circumstances. The superior espouses events and circumstances in order to guide them.
Get a 45 plate hold it right with one hand
Go over to the squat rack with free hand and grab the rack and lean over and then shrug with the hand with the weight
This will do the top part of traps
I'd say wrist wraps and a good ol' barbell shrug will do the trick. Your forearms may not be getting a workout as well, but your not targeting your forearms in this exercise. Been doing this for a while and its worked very well, try it out!

Yeah that's exactly what I do. Imo if you're working on shrugs and tryna develop it traps that way, straps really help prevent any instability from gripping heavier dumbbells. Cus of u don't have the straps, I'll probably be settling for a lower weight and will be working on it forearm strength more so than your traps.
you know you losing weight (i guess dat 30min intense cycle sesh paid off) when your doctor lifts your shirt up to check your lungs but first says " did you lose weight " ?

I think you mean lifting straps? Wraps are the ones that go wrap around your wrist for support.
