^ i feel you, im kinda plateauing at 85s.. Once i get to 90s i just cant seem to push it up, and my shoulders start to give in.
Ive heard tht barbell presses on smith machines really help
The thing with me is that, i can kick the dumbbells up into starting position no problem, i just cant seem to push it off from that point on. Anyone know some exercises that will allow me to target that specific sticky point and explode out into the press? Id say im about 1/3 of the way up and i just cant push up anymore. Its funny because i can rep out 8 for 80s no prob and 5 reps of 85s.. But not even 1 for 90s
hmm were abouts the same, ive been on 85's for past 2 months now.. ill try 90's tomo, see if I can do it.

Shoulder pin presses will concentrate on that point of the lift I believe.
any suggestions to help increase barbell bench press strength?
i was going real steady from 225 to 275 increasing the weight by 5lbs every week with about 4 reps on about 4-5 sets but now it seems like i've plateaued. Once i hit 280 i can only do 1 or 2 reps..
eating habits have barely changed, if anything i've been eating more & been having a lot more rest
maybe lay off the BB and switch em up with DB presses?

Hit dem triceps hard with close grip bench and weighted dips.
Keep in mind the stronger you get, the harder it will be to see gains. You can't expect to keep adding 5lbs to your bench every week. But don't get discouraged and keep at it.

Regarding hotong's friend, remember you still need to TRAIN and EAT and SLEEP. Just taking test boosters alone isn't going to do anything but give you bacne and hair loss.

not set yet, but a buddy from school told me he knows one of the organizers and they're trying to put one together sometime in the fall
i looked at the records for the sub-juniors 66kg class and no records were set
i found that they reset all the records from before 2011 because of weight class changes, but the old records, in the 67.5kg class that they used to have for sub-juniors were 364lbs squat, 187lb bench, and 408lbs deadlift http://bcpowerlifting.ca/records/BC%...an.01,2011.pdf
im kind of close to those numbers so i'm just going to try and see how these competitions go, but i really don't expect to win
never really bothered looking for any competitions, what other ones are there? i'll probably go watch them, but not compete in them unless the others are around the same strength, don't want to get demolished lol
