You know you're getting it done when your girl compliments your legs, of all things.

Fuck curls, do cleans :fuckyea:

Meowjin 08-31-2012 11:10 AM

I've never done a power clean in my life, but I heard they are awesome mass builder. I should try them one day.

Question guys..

So I been trying super hard to lose weight and get smaller. Went from a size XXL to almost wearing a M (I can but belly flab gets in the way). I'm gonna continue doing what I do until after I get back from philippeans in mid- Oct. Then, I wanna do the opposite and set up a plan to gain mass on my chest, bi's, etc, before doing a good cut to be ready for summer '13.

Question is.. Is Nov- March enough time with a proper diet to put on some mass? And then do like a cut from march - June-ish?

Also, this is new territory and I wanna start planning in advance. Basically eat lots and lots of clean food, and lift hard?

If you still have high body fat percentage, don't worry about bulking and eating a calorie surplus. Just keep doing what you've been doing and eat around maintenance. Clean calories.

Meowjin 08-31-2012 12:50 PM

Yeah I really can't emphasize enough how just common sense and just lift heavy and light cardio. It's not rocket science, but I guess thats how they sell magazines.

I think all gym memberships should come with a 5 day training session with a trainer. Make the cost upfront, that way people know what they are doing. Plus it would give alot kineciologists a job.

community centers take note.

Fuck when can i run for richmond city council.

Matlock 08-31-2012 12:53 PM

Power cleans for reps is my cardio.
I hate running. I don't mind sprinting.

are you doing power cleans for excess of 10 minutes straight? If no, it isn't cardio

Fine. But 3 sets x 10 reps x 185 lbs and I'm out of breath.

BinsentoW 08-31-2012 04:30 PM

Im having the best motivation Ive had EVER. In the past, Ive been going to the gym for about 3-4 months at a time MAX and start losing focus. Im at about 7 months right now, and haven't lost any focus.
Feels good man

diet is IMO the most overrated thing about training.

most of the time, people who worry about that shit train like pussies, i.e. a shitload of isolation exercises/machines, no deadlift/squat etc

dont micromanage ur diet and lift hard (dont neglect conditioning like running etc) and ull see results.

the only real important thing about diet is to eat your fruits and vegetables

never knew dieting was so overrated i just asked a simple question lol and no i don't train like a pussy. Just started working out and i have been doing dead lifts and squats

Has anyone here ever come close to having the bar fall out of their hands while doing barbell bench? This is without suicide grip; thumbs are hooked.

The only reason I ask is because this video of a guy benching then having the bar fall on him is making me go wtf. He wasn't using suicide grip, yet some how the bar still came out of his palms. I don't use suicide grip while barbell benching, and I haven't ever come close to the bar coming out of my palms.

Apparently, this guy died from his injuries.

I disagree. It might be harder to get hAwT AbZZZZZZZzzzZZZ while bulking, but losing fat while gaining lean mass (body recomp) is totally doable depending on your diet habits (intermittent fasting really shines here)

if he doesn't have much muscle on him and has a bit of a gut, yes he can. he can lose the belly fat from increased physical activity, and at the same time he can bulk up by increasing muscle mass from doing weights.

J.C 08-31-2012 08:46 PM

nvm

Accident during the competition of powerlifting - YouTube

Apparently, this guy died from his injuries.

he probably pulled his lower back which caused him to let go in severe pain :suspicious:

on another note.. why the fuck do people think water cures all? OMG HIS CHEST IS CRUSHED AND LUNGS ARE PROBABLY RUPTURED... let's get him something to drink, and he'll walk it off.

This is what i'm trying to do don't have that much belly fat probably making it sound worse then it is

hal0g0dv2 08-31-2012 09:57 PM

but they belly fat is from eating more food right, and this is the case where the fat is stored when eating more calories, so when you do eat more calories it will go right back there when you bulk. Anyone that bulks and says they have a 6 pack and never gained any belly fat is prob on tren or gear or just to scared to admit it,

The whole point of what you guys call bulking is to gain weight right ? all over the body just not on the biceps. But then again what most people think is a bulk and a cut is way off so what the hell do i know

hal0g0dv2 08-31-2012 10:00 PM

been drinking 2L of choc milk a day for a while now after workout
pretty legit
