I used to play pro ball in europe, but I have a genetic malfunction passed on to my mom who got it from her mom. Basically I don't get enough blood flow to my legs pretty much below my waist starting with the thighs, my feet and calves are constantly cold. Typical remedies like workin it out squatting building strengthening leg muscles don't work, all that happens is I gain more muscle which in turn requires more blood/oxygen and my legs feel even weaker because I'm still getting the same amount of blood going into the legs but now with more muscle to feed.

I've had to back off working out for size over the last few years, building muscle was never really my thing since overall athleticism that I can use in various sports and not just the ability to "lift heavy" has always been my goal. But I was at 230ish roughly few years back when I was working out for the hell of it, and I've lost a lot of muscle gotten down to 190 and I can definitely feel a difference in my lower body stamina. This leg thing is being used by body builders and strongest men competitors as well as other athletes, really seems like it does the trick. I'm sure some of you guys who are heavy into squats and dead lifts would benefit from this

Your forearms are damn big for an Asian, Instant.

And your back lats remind me of Kai's. Good stuff.

I think I saw a few pics of you on the RS facebook group.

What does that have to do with anything?

Many of the stronger powerlifters/strongmen are over weight. So, if you want to be stronger = gain more weight!

strykn 10-29-2012 05:28 PM

Many powerlifters are overweight, but being overweight doesn't necessarily make you stronger.

Back in love bro haha. Like I said before I've been a member for a few years here before, but you just can't beat the equipment and atmosphere. Especially the woman lol. Really diggin' the machine side lateral raise, hits the spot.

I thought you were at Golds, or was that just for a trial?

BinsentoW 10-29-2012 06:24 PM

Instantneedles has inspired me to do some serratus exercises today. Always thought that was just part of the lats

The_Situation 10-29-2012 06:28 PM

Been doing 5/3/1 for a month now. It's gotten my strength back up, but it makes your work ethic shit. Workouts are so short and consists of only 3 exercises. Its making me lazy, but cant deny the strength gains.

red_sir 10-29-2012 06:46 PM

Don't hesitate to add more assistance work to 5/3/1 when you feel like you need it. I found the upper body really needed more volume after a while, 3 exercises didn't quite do it for me.

Eg. my bench days would look like:
-bench 5/3/1 style
-OHP 5x10
-weighted dips
-rows
-tricep extensions
-barbell curls

Was a member there for about a month during the summer and just opted out of it after the month because the first month was free for me anyway.

Definetly an exception from the other golds gym in BC since the other ones seem to carry a pretty bad reputation.
