Witnessing too many half squats lately at the gym. Part of me want to say something, another part of me is smh... Posted via RS Mobile
honest question: are half squats stopping before u reach 90degrees(knees bent at 90degrees)?
The reason I ask is my physiotherapist said that squats should not be done past 90degrees.
what are a couple good meals for an early/quick breaky?
breakfast is the only meal i struggle with getting garbage/fast food because i dont have time for anything but like peanut butter sandwiches.. cottage cheese + fruit?
If you have a little blender make a shake. Greek yogurt + frozen fruit + milk + protein and natural peanut butter.

NVM: just read your response on previous page lol
unless you blew out your knee or something, hes just perpetuating a myth
There are no principles, there are only events. There is no good and bad, there are only circumstances. The superior espouses events and circumstances in order to guide them.
That is a good article. Most people think that 90 degrees means the thigh being parallel to the ground. But because everyone's body is different (flexibility and stature), you should be looking more at the actual knee joint being parallel.
In one study of female volleyball players, researchers concluded that there was no statistically significant increase in peak forces at the knee when squatting to depths of 70, 90, and 110 degrees of knee flexion. Yet another study showed that forces on the ACL are reduced as the knee is flexed beyond 60 degrees, and forces on the PCL are reduced as the knee flexes past 120 degrees. Still further studies show that powerlifters who are squatting over twice their body weight experience shearing forces on the knee that approximate only 25% of the maximal tensile strength of the ACL, and 50% of the maximum strength of the PCL.
must watch, for anyone looking for the "best" protein shake
i bought the same protein as him and all i can say that im impressed as long as pricing and quality goes
I believe this has been mentioned in this thread before. A guy from reddit measured the actual protein content of a number of different brands that make whey powder. Although not completely accurate, it does go to show that not all protein supplements are created equally.
DL 315 today at 122lb bw. I know I'm light as fuck, really low bf% and still have chicken legs..I'm working on that. Most people guess that I weight about 140 but I'm even lighter than I look.

I'm about 5'4". There's really not much fat on my body at all though..did skinfold measurements in a kines class and I'm pretty sure my bf% made the girl I was partnered with feel like shit..

Had a solid chest work out today. Broke my old record of 205x8 on the flat bench, and hit an extra two reps.
For incline, finally using 81lb DBs (fat grip) for working sets of 5-7 now.
Extremely satisfied with my progress lately, with exception to my squats. Been stuck at the same weights for two months now..
week 2 / day 6
supposed to add +10lbs from the previous week and do 7x5 bench
did all 7 sets then realized it was too easy and that i forgot to add the 10 ffffffff
