if i remember correctly, this is how it's done... now keep in mind, this is with the square-ish shaped remote with the two rubber buttons on it. the top button should have a dimple. 89742-01010 i believe is the part number.. they look like this ebay ad... http://www.ebay.com/itm/2001-2002-TO...ht_1537wt_1156

steps:

1. drivers door open
all other doors closed
drivers door unlocked

2. insert key into ignition and pull out

3. press the lock and unlock buttons 5 times
lock, unlock, lock, unlock, lock, unlock, lock, unlock, lock, unlock

4. close the drivers door, then open it again

5. insert key into ignition, turn ignition on, and then off. then pull key out

locks should shuffle lock/unlock once

6. press both the lock and unlock buttons at the same time and hold for 1 second.

the locks should shuffle lock/unlock once

repeat step 6 if you have more than one remote.

it's a good idea to program all the remotes to the car again, just incase this procedure accidentally deletes one of them...

post again here if the procedure doesn't work...
