| How is your GPA this term?
Seems like no thread on finals or gpa so why not.
Just started my JD program this term in HKU. Man maintaining a 4.0 GPA is hard as fuck. Feels like my life is decreasing at 2x the rate during these finals.
Got owned by the first final, brain was dead in the Consitutional and Administrative law. That definately dropped my gpa from 4.0 to 3.7, even though I dominated Criminal and Contract law finals and all the assignments. Arbitration law final in 24 hours. Dammit.

^Its a big deal if you need it. I've hold it at 4.0+ for the longest time before it slowly drifted towards 3.5. I don't need a high gpa but I can imagine it's a nightmare for people in or planning to go to grad school.

I'm trying to get in law school too. Doing my LSAT next summer. CGPA is around a 3.75 at the moment. This semester, I'm at around a 3.8ish.
I'm working my ass off and losing .3 would be devastating.

What scale is that GPA on? Or what is the number equivalent of a 3.75 for you? is it 82?

I've been studying for the LSAT on and off for 2 months now. I'm aiming for the June date.
I've bought a couple books on the LSAT and am also contemplating Kaplan courses. We'll see after the new year.

If you're the type who prefers to study at your own pace or just prefers to not spend 1400$ I highly recommend using this LSAT Blog LSAT Blog | NYC LSAT Tutor | Logic Games | Logical Reasoning | Reading Comprehension | Writing Sample | Law School Admissions Index | Study Schedules
I found this after I took my Kaplan course, if i had found it earlier I wouldn't have registered for Kaplan.. He's an LSAT instructor from NY, i've been using his free three-month week-by-week schedule and it's totally paying off. He recommends a few books from Amazon, at decent prices too.
The only thing I liked about Kaplan was that they gave you a lot of real LSAT practice questions, but still, not worth 1400$. I find the methods from the blog to be actually easier to understand and much clearer.
Just my two cents on the LSAT

Just my two cents on the LSAT | Appreciate it! I will check it out once I'm back in the mood to hit the books.
This semester has been going well. All A's so far =D

I have my cumulative GPA at 3.7 now, and I'm just hoping to keep it there when the finals are done marking. I'm confident to receive satisfied grades from all my finals! I'm still in waiting for one final to come out.

Hey so guys, noob question to ask, but i'm first year. GPA scale for ubc is 4.33, so for a 75% average, I would be getting a 3.2?
