im kind of confused... so is tethering allowed on this type of plan or no? was looking into mobilicity's $40 holiday plan but this seems more appealing if the coverage is indeed that much better..

Soft cap is 10GB/month of tethering until you're throttled. The coverage is MUCH better than Mobilicity. I am getting signal at Point Robert and Peace Arch now.

i must say i'm pretty impressed with the coverage so far. i haven't gone anywhere crazy except almost to steveston where i ran out of coverage for a brief moment. was making calls perfectly at riverport and inside the theatre.
hell, i even had reception in some parts of metrotowns underground parking.

If data speed is a big concern, I wouldnt recommend either Wind or Mobi..
If you want something cheap and works ok.. then they cant be beat..

go look at the thread on offical data speed i made.. people have been posting what speeds they were getting.. although i wish more people would do this, this way we get a better idea of what speeds and location are best/worst
the avg speed for Wind/Mobi range from 1Mbps to 3Mbps in vancouver... in toronto, its actually faster.. i seen people getting up to as much as 5Mbps... Rogers 3G should hit around 8-10Mpbs.... their "LTE" is pretty quick..

I'm seriously thinking about porting over to Wind...but I'm worried the grass isn't greener on the other side compared to Mobilicity.

The miracle deal is extended till january 8 | I'd switch too, if i wasn't such a cheap mofo. an extra $20/month adds up fast
$25 Wind Smart plan + $10 Unlimited Data +$10 to tether = $45 + tax
VS
Mobilicity $25 INCLUDING Data, tethering and tax/month |
