Looking at the 962s.
Honestly, I don't even know what shoes I want for my car, I've been into RPF1 but the colour I want doesn't come in the offset and size I want, plus a lot of people already have them.

I'm on 521s and am pretty happy with them. No complaints here, good cheap rims that you can just spray bomb when you get bored of them.

Im debaiting between the 527's or the 962's in either chromium black or gold. Might just go with silver rpf1's but they are kinda boring to me now.

A lot of people buy rpf1's because they're one of the flagships of light weight rims. If you only care about the aesthetics, then yes I suggest you going with other rims.

For a street wheel I wouldn't worry too much about XXR's or most popular cheaper brands for that matter

+1
RPF-1's look pretty good if you can fit 9" or wider.

I had some 501s before quality was "lets just say you get what you pay for", for some reason they drilled a very small holes for lug nuts so with certain lugs you can't get your socket in tighten the nuts, ie only the nut will go in but since the hole is so small you can't get your normal socket in or your wheel lock nut key in so I couldn't use my wheel lock. Another thing was I dropped my wheel nut from the stud area, and when the nut hit my lip it left a pretty big dent on the lip
but yea over all as beater wheels for winter use or you just want to roll around town its a pretty good deal but I wouldn't recommend them if your anal about quality

I had 962's on my civic and all though they were wide they didn't look as good as I thought they would. The 527's I think they are look really good. But just got with 17x9 rpf1's and call it a day. Posted via RS Mobile |

When I tried to use them the wheel studs were so long that it would push allen key out before I could torque the wheel down I ended up using smaller open ended lug nuts and thin walled socket. As for knockoffs, I don't think anyone cares as long as you aren't trying to pass them off as the original authentic versions. Originally does not come cheap.

527 Flat Black
I put a sticker over the centers, looks quite nice.
and yes, the bolt holes are quite small, I couldn't use my blox lugs, and had to get a set of mutekis.
And the key for the lugs fits, but the one for my lock nut didn't! so I got it machined down at work. Works fine now, just never gun them.

DiiCii lemme know when your ordering yours, maybe of we order together we can get cheaper shipping.
Im thinking i want the 527's in 17x8.25 + 35 for the front and 17x8. 25 + 25 for the rear so i can have a little poke on the rear plus the rear would look a little more concave. What do you guys think? Posted via RS Mobile |
