Best Phone Plan in the U.S.

Moving to California for school in January. Looking to get the Samsung Galaxy Nexus from the best provider that primarily includes the best pricing in:

- 2-year contract
- Long distance nationwide including Canada.
- 1-6GB Data plans.
- Coverage along the west coast.

Looking to budget $60-70 a month. Thanks for the suggestions.

Edit:

Just found out a provider like BestBuy requires a US SSN number to do a credit check to sign up for a contract. As a Canadian, I obviously don't have one. Any way around this?

just a suggestion, why dont you make trip to the states and do some pricing??

I can do that too but I'm in the process of moving and would like to plan it out without running around wasting my time.

EDIT:
Verizon can offer phone plans to Canadians living in the U.S. by just providing your driver's license, SIN, and credit card info. However they don't offer unlimited long distance calling to Canada which is what I need.

Your best bet is to sign up at Howardforums.com and ask about your concerns there. They are more helpful regarding this subject than RS.

As for making unlimited Long Distance calls to Canada from the US, you can use Google Voice as your solution. Sign up for this service when you are in the US.

Go to an independent dealer as they usually have more pull and experience than the big box stores to work around the SSN issue.

I think T-Mobile has better plans as opposed to AT&T. T-Mobile has a better network than AT&T by far.

Where in California will you be? I'm in SoCal.

Let me ask my cousins for you. They should have a preferred T-Mobile dealer. I'm on AT&T and they suck.

Does T-Mobile have the SGN yet? They only have the SGSII as an alternative.
