I think the difficulty factor depends on how hard you push yourself during the event. Most people I saw took it easy and weren't even that tired when they crossed they finish line. I have bad knees so running that distance was a huge challenge for me. The obstacles were more fun than difficult..I wouldn't call it "the toughest event on the planet", but it was definitely one of the most fun days I can remember..I'll be back there next summer for sure!

just noticed this thread! I was wondering if there were any mudders on RS.

Finished this with a bunch of people from my Dragonboat team. We struggled hard to finish as a team, as the average age was pushing 40 on my team. Like Redlines_Daily said, a few of the guys on our team definitely started getting really sore knees by the middle of the course.

Even the guys/girls who walked - I don't think I can say they weren't even tired. Even walking 12 miles isn't an easy feat, especially if you're soaked for half of it, and covered with mud for the other half. But ya, I wouldn't call any of the obstacles honestly difficult, it's the run (straight uphill??) that kills you.
