| Bike Vandalized
Hey guys,
I was at a friend's house for xmas eve, as I left, I found my bike on the ground, a couple of fairings scraped and 1 of them on the opposite side scraped and cracked.
I'm assuming either a couple punks decided my scooter was small and fair game or some drunk ass knocked it over and dragged it for a bit.
Skimming through the ICBC page, it looks like police report first?
Then there is a $300 vandalism deductible?
The fairings are pricey, the damaged ones are at least $700+ to replace plus labor.
But I've never had to go through this before, I couldn't imagine ICBC ponying up and replacing them.
They are a matte black plastic, so I don't think they can paint it to match.
Any advice on what I do now and what I should expect? |

Step by step here: ICBC | Vandalism claims
Coles:
1. File police report
2. Dial-a-Claim
3. Estimation/Investigation
4. Pay deductible
5. Don't profit.

What happens if the damage is enough to write a vehicle off?
Berz out.

You can paint matte black. We did it all the time at the RMS and Valk. Take it into the shop and ask for an out of pocket estimate, it will be less than you think.

Your bike will not be written off if it's just plastics. However I've written bikes off that had many small dings on a ton of parts like bar ends, mirrors, pegs etc. It adds up.

-Make a police report.
-Call ICBC and make a claim
-May have to bring it in for ICBC to take pictures
-pay your deductible and bring scooter back to dealer to get factory replacement parts.
-Will not affect insurance b/c it is comprehensive coverage
