2013 Acura RDX photo - more to come!

Turbo is GONE... in its place is finally some sort of V6.

Set to launch in spring 2012, the 2013 RDX is powered by a 273-hp, 3.5-liter V-6 mated to a six-speed automatic. The outgoing RDX used a five-speed automatic and a turbocharged 2.3-liter I-4 with 240 horsepower. What the first-generation RDX lacked was the 2013 Acura's 20/28 mpg city/highway estimated fuel economy. If the 2013 RDX actually gets those numbers, that will put it above front-drive-based luxury crossovers like the Audi Q5 and Volvo XC60.

the 2013 Acura RDX gets a three-view rear camera and a Pandora radio interface. The upgraded navigation system has voice recognition, can reroute around traffic, includes real-time weather with radar image maps, and offers 15 gigabytes for music storage. Other 2013 RDX luxuries include an SMS text message reading feature, smart entry keyless access system, and push-button start."

Apparantly the SH part of SH-AWD is gone too! That makes it an overpriced CR-V with a nice interior and a V6!!!!!!

Dafuq. This is a step back from the current RDX. The 2.4L turbo four and SH-AWD is what defined the RDX.

totally agree.....this is bullshit from honda....Honda used to be the performance brand for the jap car makers. When I started playing with cars, civics were the way to go because of the independent rear susp on a fwd car....lots of modding shit too...the reason I bought my rdx was because of the SHawd and turbo power.....but now, the new rdx I am sure was cheap to develop (crx w/ v6) and will make honda tons of profits. However, everytime honda cheaps out, they will lose a little respect from all Honda enthusiasts.

fail!
it seems to be getting bigger (also evident with the v6) that it may affect MDX sales

RDX was pretty much the last decent car from Acura's line up...now there's absolutely no reason to buy an Acura unless the NSX in a few years will kill...but we all know it won't live up to the original.

I can't believe they still have the ugly grill, the interior looks awfully busy, so many buttons, and the shifter and cup holder just looks cheap

Don't forget the TL SH-AWD with the 6-speed. I'd get it over a G37x in a heartbeat.

Yup, the SH part of SH-AWD is pretty much toast for the new gen. Apparantly its to save weight and improve fuel economy.

Looks like Acura took a page out of Audi by photocopying the MDX @ 75% size.
