It's going great. No problems. If you want some tips let me know. |
I used to be mad into the Fish hobby but then I've slowly weened off it now because I just don't have the time to take care of them. I had MTS (Multi-Tank Syndrom)... and was at one point running like 8+ tanks, water changes alone would take up a huge chunk of my day (like 5+ hours) ... but I've cut down to just 1 small 15g tank now until I have more time in the future ... these are pictures of my old tanks that I had a couple years back ... My Red Belly Piranha's, they are actually pretty shy, but when they attack or are frightened, wow damn they move fast ... I would NOT want my finger in there ... lol ... it's fun watching them rip pieces of meat apart though ... messy to clean up after ... http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/photo...49340_1012.jpg My Green-Spotted puffers, 2 of them, stalking a giant marbled cray!... epic battle time!... haha I'm just kidding, sadly my big mama crayfish passed away after I've had it for 3 years... she was responsible for having many many little cray babies so I could feed my puffers, so on this day she would be my 2 little GSP's buffet. http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._6782344_n.jpg Also kept a few Saimese Fighting Fish, they are calm and beautiful. http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/photo...49352_4419.jpg The baby cray's playing tug of war with a dead Neon Tetra... such is the circle of life! http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._6664948_n.jpg 2 older crays chillin' in their holes. http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._6319688_n.jpg |

Deon....one 15 gallon?? That's it??? LOL I used to have MTS too, then time became a factor. I now have 2x 2g + 2x betta bowls. I definitely miss having a big tank. |
Here's some of my old tanks. http://i452.photobucket.com/albums/q...3/IMG_0349.jpg http://i452.photobucket.com/albums/q...3/IMG_0348.jpg http://i452.photobucket.com/albums/q...m/IMG_4361.jpg http://i452.photobucket.com/albums/q...m/IMG_4624.jpg http://i452.photobucket.com/albums/q...m/IMG_4632.jpg http://i452.photobucket.com/albums/q...m/IMG_4595.jpg I hope everyone in this thread is on BCAquaria :D |

I used to go on BCA a lot too but not as much anymore since I'm only partially in the hobby... but I still hop on from time to time heh... my future plan is to get a 80-100g tank and probably have a Fahaka ... and then start up another 20g long for crayfish feeders ... but who knows when that will be ... maybe when I retire lol! If you want a "store" Canadian Aquatics in Richmond is your best bet. Crystal Shrimp are not easy to take care of if you don't know what you're doing too. |

What exactly does caring for crystal-shrimp entail? |
Quote:
theres many types of shrimps, but for sure fish are much easier to care for than shrimps. they're really prone to ammonia as for CRS they're almost like discus they need alot of care and Waterchanges what you should do is start off with RCS, red cherry shrimps. then you can go on to PFR, painted fire red. which is just a Much deeper Red than the RCS. after you think your good. start off with A grade CRS then move on to S grade or SS or even SSS. but if you have S and SS and they breed. you will have all kinds of different forms. whats popular on the shrimp market is the BKK. black king kong. going at 60-300 a piece ! |
lol the lowballers on bca are such a fucking joke. website is ruined with these guys now |
