ICBC - Statement process?

Greetings Revscene,

I was involved in an accident last week. Before ICBC will apportion blame and allow my vehicle to get fixed, they need a statement from the other party - I'm just wondering - what happens if the other party doesn't make a statement any time soon?

Sorry if this is a dumb question- first accident </3 :*(

did you give the number of the other party??? If you didnt, then ICBC will most likely call them in a few days if they didnt report it
please tell me that you got their number at the time of the accident?!?!?!

I gave his license plate, model, and driver's license #...I actually also have his phone number, too. Should I give them that as well?

When u report the claim, icbc will contact the 3rd party.... From the day of contact, the 3rd party has to return contact within 28 days... Or they are deemed at fault for neglect. I'm in the same position right now for a hit/run. Caught the driver after a brief chase.

I'm glad to hear that policy's in place - exactly what I was hoping to hear.

Sounds like you had quite the adventure - glad you caught the guy!
