it was around this time last year that i signed up for steve nash sports club (lvl 3) [fitness worlds = lvl 1, sports clubs = lvl 2, downtown sports club = lvl 3] and by paying a lumpsum (~$950) i got lvl 3 access (so any steve nash) i got 1 year, plus another 8 months free, which averaged the price down to about $42-$43 a month. not sure if they're doing it again, but from what i understand, they do this promo a few times a year |

I also go on Saturdays, pretty much empty |
i guess i'll see you there then i'll stay for 2 months using the deal and if i like it i'll stay |
I'm at Club 16 in Coquitlam. Can't beat the price. I'm really not sure how they even stay in business at 14.99/month. But the gym is jam packed all the time. I tried going in at 8 or after 8 even and it's still packed! All the machines are nice and new and they got killer ventilation in there. I can put up with the crowds for the cost though. If I wanted a quiet gym with no ppl then I would join World gym or whatever name it became after it switched owners. |
richmond oval :)) |
Anyone recommend bonsor or is it super ghetto ?? |

alot of curl brahs and a whole bunch of anti-squat faggots, which is good and bad, bad in that it's a totally unmotivating environment to be in, good in that the squat rack will always be open for serious lifters that do compounds and know what they are doing |

Yeah seriously. In my opinion, it separates those who are serious about lifting to those that arent, those who are willing to put in hard work and those who arent, those who get freaky teardrop quads to those who chicken legs after 50 reps of leg extensions, and lastly, those who achieve results and those stay pinner for life and eventually quit lifting for good cus they compare themselves to guys that squat. But at this point, im not concerned at all. Its why some of us are continually making gains, while others make a complete fool of themselves at the gym. And dont even get me started on the guys that hop right into that gym and just start lifting heavy with no warm up whatsoever. Its canada for godsakes, not vegas... If you dont warm up your joints and get ur blood flowing, you will not get a good pump and you will fuck up your joints for good. If you dont mind the smell of inferiority, or skinny phaggots that come up to you to give advice, then by all means. Posted via RS Mobile |
Gyms should have minimum admission standards like a 1.5x bodyweight ATG squat... otherwise you have to workout in the women's area. |
I'm starting to love sports central. Started going Friday/Saturday/Sunday at around 12. It is completely dead. Saturday night I was the only guy there. Still go weekdays of course (earlier) but I love friday/sat/sunday |
^ 12 am night time? Unless uve established a regular late night sleeping pattern, youre toying with your gains bro Posted via RS Mobile |
Here in Victoria, I switched from Commonwealth to Juan de Fuca Rec in Langford/west shore. So far so good. Much larger space with two giant rooms. Lighter dbs up to 50lbs on one side and 55 to 130 on the other. Two squat racks and a smith. Not a big deal but I do miss the standing calf raise at Commonwealth. Gets very busy around 4-6pm weekdays like most gyms but otherwise it is pretty chill and never have to wait for equipment. |
