Anyone know of any good gym promotions?

My pass at the oval expired, and I'm looking to try out a new gym.

saucywoman 06-03-2013 11:20 AM

Not so much a gym where you do what you want but if you're in the Vancouver area I highly recommend Element Athletic | group personal training

anyone go to 24/7 fitness on king ed and knight?

hows is it there?

kayburry19 06-23-2013 10:47 PM

Nanaimo Aquatic centre

5 dollars drop in for students
I like that there's a pool and steam room that I can use afterwards.
The gym could be a bit bigger.

pros:
- brand new equipment
- private washroom w/ shower
- friendly characters

cons:
- fucking crowded during evenings
- pretty pricey

Way too crowded during the time I can go, which is in the evening around from 5-8

Sushi604 06-24-2013 07:03 AM

Indeed. Go find yourself a 24/7 gym if you are able to drive. Otherwise you'll get what you pay for.

Anyone try out Train on Main? I just walked by it the other day when we were going to Long's Noodle House.

I looked in the window and must have seen 10 squat racks and no BS equipment! That's awesome. I would love a gym like that, but a bit too far for me.

hal0g0dv2 06-24-2013 03:59 PM

for people in vic
ian stewart
plus oddesy

saucywoman 06-24-2013 08:39 PM

On like a 2 year contract...IMO it sucks and has turned into a hippie gym

- No chalk
- No grunting
- Must put down weights carefully
- Other BS

It's like a Planet Fitness for Vancouver

RCubed 06-25-2013 08:21 PM

chin3se604 07-28-2013 11:26 AM

you can always go in and get a 10day trial if you haven't done so yet

Sentinel 07-29-2013 01:31 AM

Been going to steve nash for a month now. Usually richmond sports club, overall its great compared to sports central. Expensive but you get what you paid for.
