Newton
12.75/year with access to any Surrey rec.

I'm on dat low income membership as a student.
EDIT:

Pros
Clean gym, spacious during non-peak hours
People actually help other people out
Cheap cost for me
Lots of free weight benches

Cons
One squat rack
Lots of bicep warriors (taking up the squat rack...)
Single squat rack
Very crowded, people leave weights everywhere

YMCA -Kelowna
about $50/month (adult price)

pros:
very clean and modern
always adding/upgrading new equipment
great crowd, no douche bags or juice monkeys
finally got a real squat rack
lots of free weight area with about 8 adjustable benches and lots of mirrors
chalk allowed
includes pool/hot tub/sauna/basketball court/tons of classes. i use none of them
membership good for any YMCA anywhere

cons:
DBs only to 100lbs
no real deadlift area (but room to do it anyway)
only one bench press
im one of the stronger guys there (sucks for motivation)
could use more assorted handles (but they usually listen to requests)

U?
i recently started doing isolations now... alternating chest and biceps on one day, and legs and back on another day... i find that its alot easier to workout chests and biceps at ubc because theres alot more benches/cables, free weights, as opposed to 2 squat racks and 1 leg press machine...nothing for hamstrings

You can kill your hams with good mornings, romanian DB lifts, single leg deadlifts, and bulgarian splits, true me on this!

my gym has 1 full squat rack, 2 half racks, 1 incline, 1 flat, 1 decline bench. and about 6 good oly bars.

i do my DLs infront of one of the half racks.

Gold's Gym Gilmore.

Thinking of quitting and lifting at home. The only things I use at the gym is barbell + platform + squat rack.

School gym! cuz free.

1 half rack, 4benches, one adjustable, 2 bench, total of 3 oly bars, dbs up to 75

good enough for me, nobody does full squats or deads

Hit it 6am in the morning, then go home, then back for school. ill move out when i feel the gym is inadequate.

You gotta pay some $500 upfront first for them to give you that flat fee for life.

my school's ghetto-ass gym from September to May 'cause it's free
then Killarney Community Centre from June to August during summer break. Like $34/month, but if you buy the 3m, 6m, or 1y pass you get discounts
not as big as other community centres, but definitely much better equipment than Renfrew & Kensington. Barely ever crowded
