This is perfect and exactly what I was looking for! Thanks for this information! I don't mind the catches since all I need is a barbell, some plates, a squat rack and a bench, and a pull up bar for my routine! I don't really need all the other gimmicks!

I was looking at reviews for other gyms on Yelp and Goodlife seems to be one of the better all night ones out there.

Thanks for this!

Started going to Fortius sport&health behind 8 rinks few months ago. 6 full racks, 1 half rack, 4 olympic lifting platforms with eleiko bumper plates.
eleiko and rogue barbells, not just the cheap generic barbells almost every other gym out there uses.
Paying $49 a month plus tax with no contract.
Only issue is often there are training camps or team training sessions going on where racks are reserved.

^ This is gym is getting worse and worse as the years go by. I seriously question where the fuck our "annual gym maintenance fee" goes to.

brb no air conditioning
brb missing weights or incorrectly marked weights
brb no paper towels
brb toilets don't work
brb toilets that don't work clogged with shit
brb water drain in the middle of the washroom erupting with shit pieces
brb filipino cleaning ladies vacuuming around you mid-set

I'm sure the only thing keeping SC members from switching to RSF is the 24/7 accessibility.

Would have switched long time ago, but RSF hours don't work well for me

But in the end, I guess it gets the job done lol

Lol @ the ghetto homemade squat rack pins that fit on at a 45 degree angle

Also one time I saw a guy doing lat pulldowns with the weight set to like 180 and the cable snapped. The bar came down on his core with full force and he dropped to the ground in pain. It was scary brah, I pray for the best every time I do lat pulldowns now

I signed up a few weeks ago. There are 4 membership options:
The top tier is $52/month and includes everything: you can go to any club in BC, hot yoga at the Lougheed location, towel service, use of the massage chairs, unlimited fitness classes, unlimited cycling classes, you can bring a guest with you each time, and some other stuff. Also there is no enrollment fee.

The second option is I think ~$40/month and is just the basic membership, but you can go to any club in BC.

The third option is $20/month and it's the basic membership at the new location. With basic membership you don't get any of the perks of the 1st option and there is an enrollment fee of $49. I think there's also a cancellation fee if you cancel within the year, I don't remember how much it was.

The fourth option is $12/month and it's a basic membership at the new location only that lets you only go from 8 to 8...I forgot which is pm and which is am lol. Yes, the club is 24/7.

A few other notes:
- You get your first month free if you show them your current gym pass.
- The only option to pay is they deduct the fees from your bank account bi-weekly.
- You get a free large t-shirt and gym bag but they are pretty ugly
- 2 hours parking is included

Anytime Fitness. I hate gyms where I have to wait for equipment or if it is crowded. I usually go at around 11:30pm. No one at my location. Most people I've seen are 3 people at the gym at that time. It is expensive though but worth it for me.

Just signed up for Goodlife by metro. Quite cheap for a 24hr gym. Will make a good off season gym without costing too much.
I will still be gyming at fortitus sport when it comes close to competition time.

Kingsway and willingdon in the element hotel building. I believe the gym is 30,000 sqft. Grand opening jan 12th. Let me know if you guys are interested in joining I have a guy who can help you.

edit: really liking the gym. it even has a sauna even though it's kind of small but still great. oh and a few massage chairs.
