Suggestion for a vacation <$1000

Looking for a getaway with the woman for next month.

our budget is under $1000 for 2 person (exclusing spending money) anywhere.

we are also looking for cruises too but we have to fly to US ports for those.

is it possible to do vegas for under $1000. Expedia gave us about $1300 the cheapest for two person.

For 2 people, I don't see where you could go on that budget. Maybe Blaine

Its really not. I pay upwards of 800 bucks for my return flights to work sometimes, and you expect to fly 2 people somewhere with a hotel? Good luck dude. You can probably do it, but it would be an incredible waste of money. Save up another 1000 and then go.

Depends what you want to do.

We stayed in a sweet room at Poets Cove resort on Pender Island last Jan with a deep soaker double tub. Resort was beautiful...hot tubs, pools, restaurant. We just relaxed...didn't need any outside activites to keep us entertained, if you know what I mean .

Weather wasn't too bad...we were still able to walk along the beach, etc.

Yep! We got a great deal last Jan of 99/night bc it was off-season. There was only 2 other couples in the whole place...was nice and quiet.

There is not a whole lot of things to do on the island (there are some little store/strip mall tourist stuff)...but if you want to get away some where romantic, quiet, and relaxing, I highly recommend it!

are the spa all inclusive? or do we have to pay in adv?

cruises are pretty cheap but it adds up if you also buy flight tickets to the port

no, the spa is not inclusive and you just pay after the treatment like any other spa....it is just located in the hotel, which is nice.

This package looks pretty good....its only for 1 night, but you can add more nights for $89:
Poets Cove | Gulf Islands Luxury Spa Resort & Marina, Pender Island BC | Pender Pleasure

Or this one: Poets Cove | Gulf Islands Luxury Spa Resort & Marina, Pender Island BC | Island Romance Package

We stayed in the lodge room which was VERY nice!

Like I said before...we got our room at 99/night...we stayed for 3 nights, ate at the resort and went to the spa. Including the ferry, the whole thing cost us just under $1000.

We had a great time and talking about this, makes me want to go back!
