Wow, that's pretty good. Decent way to try to pull in sales I guess. Problem is, I'd only want an R-design car or maybe the C30.

Does BMW cover wear and tear parts like brakes, rotors and wipers?

Volvo does have an extra year over BMW.

It's pretty awesome actually, my dad was thinking of getting a XC-70.

Wow, that's a pretty sick deal.... Pretty much don't have to put any money into the car for the first 5 years.

I've never tried for wipers, but yes to brakes and rotors.

Definitely a good deal.

I'm not 100% sure but I asked my manager (i work at a Volvo dealership) and he said that this plan is better than BMW.

BMW covers everything but brakes, windsheild wipers, and tires.

I believe the Volvo Coverage Plan covers things like brakes and wipers, but tires ofcourse is a main wear item that is not covered.

If anyone is actually interested in a new volvo (this is for 2012 new models only), please see if my facts are correct when communicating with a sales associate.

BMW covers wipers and brakes only if you get the Service Inclusive Plus package.. I would say you usually get it included if you are remotely competent in negotiating.

I am not sure about Canadian BMWs but we have had brakes done on several US cars in Seattle with no issue.

I was told that BMW's maintenance free doesn't include wear items like tires & brake pads.

Because US and Canada are different countries? and BMW are 2 different corporate entities with 2 different markets?

BMW Canada dealers also have the geographic advantage of having dealerships in Vancouver.. think about your opportunity cost having to drive to Seattle for a wiper blade / brake change? Assuming a typical BMW owner earns at least $40-50/hour (teachers' wage on the low end).. that drive down and back pays for the brake job itself.

As I have said before.. the "additional cost" any remotely competent negotiator will get it just as you get your rubber floor mats.

It is not only BMW but other makes as well eg like Hyundai's 10year warranty in US is halved in Canada.

It's funny though, because the BMW USA site says BMW North America in it's page name. You would've thought that it would cover Canada as well

Exactly. There are several differences in CPO warranty coverages, maintenance program, etc. between US and Canada.
