Cheap Braces orthodontist/dentist in vancouver i am just curious if anyone knows of any cheap orthodontist or dentist that does braces in the vancouver area, around that area all the way to as far as langley. It would help a lot:fullofwin: |
Its for your teeth.. something you'll have for a lifetime, so i doubt you would want to cheap out on them. Friends had a couple experiences when you take them off, they shift right back. |
I know I guy who does it out of his basement. Uses recycled braces and retainers. $500 cash only. no warranty. pm me for info |

on a serious note; I wouldn't cheap out on braces, fitment and health concerns are huge issues when it comes to braces...teeth that get moved to fast or improperly can lead to gum disease and worse... |
Guaranty that if you cheap out on anything to do with your teeth, you will more than likely be spending more in the end for corrections. Good braces will cost anywhere from $5k-8k. Maybe less depending on how long and the amount of work need to correct your teeth I know mine were 6k and I was 11 when I got them (gr. 5).and had them for 2.5 years Posted via RS Mobile |
Thanks for the reply guys but i was wondering if there was a place in the greater vancouver area. I need a place that's at least $5000. The places i went to were $9000 which is kinda ridiculous. |
dont be a cheap ass first off unless u want your teeth to be crunk as fuck...my gf works in a dental office in Burnaby dont know how much they are but I would recommend them for sure! Dawsen Dental is the name check it out and dont cheap out on your teeth...bitches love a good smile nnnaaaammeeen! |
Like everyone said above, don't cheap out on it. BUT if money is an issue, do look into workplace and/or getting additional 3rd party health insurances. Some of them subsidize up to a certain amount. |
Could it be, Romeo's cousin :ahwow: |
would be great if someone give me a great place prefer a dentist that does orthodontist braces for cheap. Anything is better than paying 9k for braces O.O!! :whine: |
I had my dentist do mine for 4000, only like 3 teeth were slightly out of place though. had for 1 year. |
where? |
Maybe things have changed but I think you have to be referred to an orthodontist? I had mine in grade 5-7(98-00) and I think it was around 5000. My ortho was Dr Ritchie Mah over by Metrotown. Both myself, my brother and bff had ours done there. Posted via RS Mobile |

If the dentist did not spend enough time on your case, the teeth may perhaps not have been ideally aligned in the first place. This would not explain a "shift" back to being malaligned. "Cheap" braces does not necessarily mean shoddy or poor work. The price of braces may be dependent on the difficulty of the case, the area where the dental practice is located, etc. On a similar note, expensive braces does not mean you are guaranteed superior results either. Typically general dentists charge less than specialists (orthodontists). While orthodontists have extra grad-school training in aligning teeth, this does not necessarily mean that their services are far superior than that offered by general dentists. Go by what your family, friends, etc. have said about their orthodontic work. If they were happy with their results, you will likely also be happy with their dentist/orthodontist. Don't get sucked into the thinking that expensive = good and vice versa. |
i know two girls who went to some orthodontist around fraser and their teeth were crooked as fuck when they took it off. They cheapen out on their braces and it was only a few grand. I recommend Dr. Samuel Chang i think??? on braces on main (main and 14 i think?) i spent 5.5k and it went out flawless! lots of private school girls go there with those green skirts :lawl: and rich kids. Employees are jackasses though (the Caucasian ones) they give the *i do not give two shits attitude when working* |

the cost of braces and length of treatment varies HUGELY. when i went in for an estimate, they needed to make a mold of my teeth and study it before they could give me a quote. i paid $6000 (class 3) and wore braces for 3-4 years. when you're finished, ensure to have a permanent wire put in place. wearing a retainer is just nasty and inconsistent usage of it will allow your teeth to shift back to the way they once were. |
Exactly ^^^. We can only give you reco's based on experience. All the people who have posted might have only had minor issues. It really depends how fucked up your teeth are, what it's going to take to get them sorted out, how proficient the Dr. is and what they charge. |
I had my braces done in Seattle under my dads insurance. His insurance covered it all pretty much we had to pay $1000 for the full treatment. And for the comment about teeth shifting back, that is your friends fault for not wearing their retainers after they removed their braces. |
when i was 8 years old I was brought to dr. sam chiang as well my case wasn't that complicated he's pretty good but also pricey i can attest that their staff does suck i remember the dental hygienist asked me to brush my teeth...after i was done I threw the brush out thinking it was disposable....she picked it back up:suspicious: and asked me to bring it home and keep using it this was back in the late 90's |
