this is a long shot, but i was wondering if anyone here can remember this anime from way back in 1998. it was based on this manga written by Noboru Rokuda:
i watched one episode as a VHS fan sub almost a decade ago, but i forgot about it and now that i found it again online i can't find anything remotely english. i was hoping someone here might know:
Plot Summary: Akagi Gunma is a young, impetuous and rash teenage who decides to move to the big city to fulfil his dream of racing a Formula One car. The story follows how this simple farmer boy from the country move on to the city in pursuit of his dreams.

I haven't checked out Gundam Thunderbolt yet, but I will
Currently watching
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable
Aggressive Retsuko (you guys should REALLY check this one one, made by Sanrio and only 2 minutes long per episode. You'll wish it's longer. It's great for people who work in an office environment)
I can't say this enough -- if you enjoy the anime, you need to go read the manga. The story is so much less rushed and thorough. I am not saying the anime is bad, but I enjoy the manga far more.
And I just have to put this out there -- I hate Io's guts.
Those that have been following the series probably knows it already, but Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans season 2 has been on air for a few weeks now. So far, all the episodes are just as frickin awesome as the stuff from season 1. But I do lament how the old cast are all acting much more grown up than before now.

I liked Wing the best, though G was pretty fun too

Season 1 has a lot of story telling and plot development and less mobile suit action, and sometimes those plot developments move a bit too slow for the action crowd. But when the action took place, it was always intense and captivating.
So far, season 2 seems to have improved on that, with more battles and fights, and nearly as much plot development as before. But a viewer would probably get a lot more out of season 2 if he has watched season 1 first.
A few of you mentioned that you like Gundam stuff. If that's the case, you absolutely HAVE TO watch the Gundam Origin episodes (if you haven't done so already):
The trailer here really doesn't do it any justice -- when I watched the 1st episode, the first 3 minutes alone were enough to left me in awe. Everything about it is good -- the animation quality, the story, the characters, the quality of the artwork themselves, etc. And this is the original UC0079 universe -- ie. the real deal. It is not some recycled old crap -- it is state of the art, and easily the best there is across all Gundam universe series.
For the time being, only 3 episodes have been released, with the 4th one coming up some time in mid November. But each episode is ~1 hour long.
just finished Food Wars Shokugeki no Soma ... the first season was better
Mistakenly started with this one first, good to know the 1st season was better because I loved the 2nd season.
If you guys are into sports animes, I'm really enjoying Haikyuu (it's a guys volleyball team) and Keijo!!!!!!!! (it's super fanservice-y, but funny as fuck imo). Also watching Yuri! On Ice, but I doubt anyone on here (besides the girls maybe) would enjoy watching it lol.
If you're into random/messed up anime; Kiss Him, Not Me is pretty funny. It's about a girl who's obsessed with BL. Definitely a good no-brainer watch.

LMAO at this new anime, it's so ridiculously stupid that I can't stop watching... KEIJO!!!!!!!! (yes it has to have all those exclamations)
Point of the story is... I have no clue, it's a new competition sport where girls with huge tits try to knock each other off a platform floating in a pool. The kicker is they can only use their boobs and butts to attack.
Has MOB Psycho 100 been brought up yet. I really enjoyed this one, way more than I thought I would. Been watching a lot of reviewers and analysis on it as well afterwards since I thought it was so unique... and alot of others seem to share that same sentiment.
